My personal crack theoryhowever is that her sempais were really Chuchu, Retoree and Moa, who came from Sound Cosmos to the human dimension to visit Cyan, but arrived earlier than they left (because reasons we don't really need to sweat about) and then they decided to disguise themselves as normal girls in the school that Cyan would attend to and inspire her to want to join the local K-ON.
That's how I would handle it.
