If you didn't call the two sou or the East wind, you could have used riichi on a closed hand to complete it but otherwise the pattern is a mess. Maybe could have gone for honrou (all terminals and honors) or toitoi (all triplets) or honitsu (all one suit and honors) or a few others. Though I'm sure better players could provide better advice.
It's good to brush up, you don't want to end up in a situation where you're calling without a pattern(s) in mind. It really reduces your options.
