>Director Mamoru Oshii and Hayao Miyazaki >Studio Madhouse >"Seiyuu" No Japanese voices, English only. It'd just sound right to me. >Unique animu touches None, Kawii futa shotacon Tsundere Japanese shit would just fuck it up. Make it how George Lucas pictured it.
I'd probably do a 1:1 retelling on 4,5, and 6 with extended bits, like maybe an episode dedicated to Boba Fett going through an ordeal of some sort while transporting Han to Jabba. I don't feel anything too major needs to be changed, probably just jazz up the action scenes a bit.
1,2 and 3 would get a full overhaul in structure. It's hard to sit here and tell you what I would change and how I would change it, but I would make it more consistent with what we see in 4-6.
>>135921844 >1,2 and 3 would get a full overhaul in structure. It's hard to sit here and tell you what I would change and how I would change it, but I would make it more consistent with what we see in 4-6.
My personal opinion is that the timeframe covered for Episodes 1-3 were not fit for just three movies. Some of the basic ideas George had were fine once you actually are able to make sense of them and would make for a good saga in the vein of stuff like Code Geass (if you like that).
Episodes 4-6 could all be handled in a single 2 cour series, maybe even less, because the time frame covered is only 3 years. The prequel covers a time span that is nearly 15 years within only 6-7 hours of movie when 6-7 hours is needed for each one to explain everything that's happening.
>>135921322 I'd pretend like nothing outside the OT ever happened. Then I'd redo all of the iconic scenes, but jumble up the order so it looks fresh and exciting and make everything bigger. Then I'd replace the cast with a bunch of uncomplicated mary sues from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Fuck the movies we are going mad expanded universe up in here. First series would be a 2 cour or even more of the Mandalorian Wars Next series would be a 2 or more cour coverage of the Jedi Civil War After that let's skip on up 2000 years and follow the formation of Darth Bane's Order of the Sith Lords and watch how he destroys the pathetic and weak Sith Brotherhood and cons the Jedi into thinking the Sith are gone for good.
Oh and as to unique animu touches Malak is being genderbent into a sexy lady who's madly in love with Revan, Revan is a harem MC who tends to crush flags like a motherfucker while he's a Sith Lord/General and embraces his (eventual) waifu Bastilla when he's turned to the light. His harem, including Malak will all have turned into Dark Jedi and are thus all yandere as fuck so he and Bastialla will have to kill them all in the Jedi Civil War.
Also I am replacing Carth with a shota, it's the only way I can justify the whining.
It's probably wrong to approach Star Wars as solely 6 movies (no I don't give a shit about the new one this isn't my point here).
1 2 3 on their own are clunky for sure but the clone wars around ep. 2-3 were damn interesting. So you can't adapt ep. 1 2 3 by let's say making 3 standard seasons or something, you'd need more to make it good and consistent.
I could seriously see myself liking KOTOR 2 if I got to kill Kreia about 20 hours earlier but seeing as how apparently my character is legit the most retarded Jedi in the universe and can't tell the LEAST subtle Sith Lord in hiding ever, I am just going to say I hate the game.
>>135921322 Luke is the only male character. Everyone else is now a fourteen-year-old schoolgirl. R2D2 is now a magical girl who falls from the sky. C3PO is the transfer student who runs into Luke with toast. The rest is history.
Also, The Force is now powered by semen so everyone gets an eroscene.
Son you are completely enthralled to a dark lord of the Sith. Kreia may be trying to pull this "I no longer believe in the Sith way" bullshit but she is extremely shit at being reformed. She's trying to teach you to think like a grey jedi, think outside of the terms of light and dark and I can respect that, but she's a massive fucking hypocrite that clearly has more respect for the dark side than she does for the light, a REAL grey jedi balances both.
Not to mention the whole kill the force thing is the most retarded motivation ever.
>>135922890 >Not to mention the whole kill the force thing is the most retarded motivation ever. Are you fucking twelve? Kreia and Cipher 9 were like the only ones in all the five-hundred-thousand SW games to ever stand up and say how fucking retarded all the Jedi/Sith actually were.
And now both of them are non-canon because fucking Disney.
>Also a SW anime would never work because you couldn't incorporate ecchi fanservice into it and those are the only things that sell >who is Padme? >who is Aayla Secura >what are Twi-Leks? >what are Zeltrons?
>>135921851 >are you even trying? No, im not cause i don't try i'm being real here. A random beach episode in the middle of everything would fuck up the rhythm and make people want to drop the show. Like transitioning from galactic conquering to "AYYYY CUTE ALIEN GIRLS IN SWIMSUITS" is just retarded. Honestly would be worse than the Christmas special.
Cry fucking more you stupid faggot. Guess what, Star Wars wasn't made by Chris "I am a massive hack that can only write one kind of story" Avellone. It was made by George Lucas as a mash up of samurai films, westerns, space, and to top it all off Flash Gordon. You know what that means? The force IS black and white and there's nothing you Obsidiandrones can fucking do about it other than bitch and moan in every Star Wars thread about how "good' KOTOR 2 is when it completely misses the fucking point of Star Wars.
>>135922975 >Darth-J, we need to examine this plan from a different angle - namely the one where this plan is fucking retarded. >lolk, sry, i'm going now :( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3bBUPDXb2I The game was admittedly shit but I loved the Imperial Agent storyline.
>>135922890 She was forcibly cast out of the Sith prior to the game's beginning. She only reclaims that title at the very end, but she doesn't retake its ideals.
She only looks dark if you play the game full moralfag. She shits on you just as much for killing people for no reason and other cruelties. She's not teaching you to balance light and dark, she's teaching you that thinking about the galaxy in terms of light and dark is retarded. The Codes of the Jedi and the Sith aren't universal and people should think for themselves instead of blindly following the Force.
Whatever comes out of Japan for Star wars will never be considered canon anyways, the SW fanbase is extremely picky after the prequels so much that Disney retconned everything that wasn't 1-7 and clone wars. Anime wouldn't meet the fanbases "standards" and be shunned
That's not why it got retconned, it got retconned because Disney can't make any money off of it.
Funnily enough they have said that fan favorite characters from the Old Republic era like Darth Bane, Exar Kun and Revan are >canon but their story may not have happened how they were originally told Which if you read between the lines that statement means >We here at Disney are creatively bankrupt so we will resell the stories of the characters you love back to you in a slightly different format.
The thing is Traya was supposed to be like a reverse of Jolee Bindo from KOTOR 1, she was what happens when you take grey to the level of full blown nihilism. From the perspective of the mythos, including the grey perspective, she's fucking nuts. She wants to kill the Force, which would involve basically destroying all life. Heck, the entire plot of the Yuuzhan Vong was that they were a massive wound in the Force that needed to be healed, much like the Jedi Exile.
It is true that a theme in KOTOR 2 was how the abuse of the Force by both Jedi and Sith and their religious wars have ruined ordinary people's lives, but only edgelords think that the game's story wasn't one which portrayed the Jedi as the greater good, even if not perfect. Hence, why Meetra choosing the lightside is canon, as is Atton and the others becoming the restorers of the Jedi Order.
Well the stuff to the Old Republic characters is more of a soft retcon instead of a full blown wipe, like I said they are stated to have existed just maybe not exactly how we remember reading about them. But still, fuck Disney.
>>135923564 Jesus christ kid, that is some piss-poor damage control. Couldn't you have at least posted a screencap with one of your (You)s photoshopped out? >posts 1-2 minutes apart >very first reply is a one-sentence text state which basically says 'I agree and you are a genius' This is some fucking gaia-tier samefagging. All the regulars can spot shit like this.
>>135923423 The only reason she even considered killing the Force was because the Exile showed her that it is possible to live without it, and, through that, to escape its influence. She may have had strange views, but she didn't want to kill everything, as evidenced by the effort she put into stopping Nihilus from doing just that.
Nobody's saying that the Jedi aren't a force for good or that the Sith aren't evil. Kreia doesn't pretend like that isn't true, either. She thinks that they're both narrow minded by only considering one viewpoint and fail to see the whole picture and she thinks the Force manipulates this aspect of them in its eternal quest for balance.
>>135921322 Director: Shinbo Akiyuki Studio: Shaft Seiyuu: Mostly the usual suspects from Shaft shows. Unique anime touches: Besides maybe a ninja-like Jedi or two, not really.. But I'd tell Shinbo to ignore most of Episodes 1-3 and tell him/the Shaft writers to make up something that'd fit as a prequel to Episode 4.
>>135923824 >the Exile showed her that it is possible to live without it, and, through that, to escape its influence.
Meetra was never actually totally outside the Force though. Not only that, but to reject the Force means to basically live a life that is lonely and just devoid of very much meaning. Which is why when you convert Mira, you are helping her to learn she doesn't have to feel alone anymore. Kreia's vision was essentially a universe without meaning, where people basically live aimlessly at best and at worst, a universe where nothing exists at all.
>Kreia doesn't pretend like that isn't true, either.
She didn't really believe in good/evil
>and she thinks the Force manipulates this aspect of them in its eternal quest for balance.
Whether this is just bad writing or purposely meant to make Kreia look misguided, the Force isn't a god. It doesn't really "manipulate" anybody. It's like saying you want to kill the yin and yang that keep nature moving in harmony. The fault for your suffering is your own for messing up that balance in the first place, but there's no way to really escape it. Even if everybody could become like the Exile, the Force would still be there.
>>135924143 Do the TFA defense force actually believe the bullshit they say, or do they just do it to be epic trolls? I honestly can't tell.
>>135924221 Kreia sees those connections as paths to manipulation and recognizes that they're capable of inflicting as much pain as healing. Which you can see in Malachor V when a bunch of Jedi that could have kept on living just up and died because they received so much pain through the Force. She saw the ability to give up the Force as a strength of will.
She clearly states that she committed good and evil acts in equal numbers. She believes in good and evil, she just doesn't believe in following them.
Whether or not the Force has a will or is just a natural force is a philosophical question that's never fully answered. The thought that it is comes partly from the constant wars brought about by the different sides that never end up solving anything. Neither side will ever win because that would tip the scales, but they will always fight because they're diametrically opposed to each other. Her plan was to make it impossible to feel the Force anywhere so that its will wouldn't be heard by anyone. Of course, that plan would only happen if her primary plan of successfully training the Exile failed.
CGI, I don't think Japan would buy into Tartakovsky's long dialogueless scenes.
CGI has a cute loli-appeal, a colourful ensemble cast, sufficiently well choreographed action, and a semi-episodic plot that folks can easily get invested in on a surface level. All stuff the Japanese would eat up. I would be surprised to hear that it was poorly received (for a western show) in Japan (assuming it's been dubbed in Japanese).
>>135921322 Well, the obvious answer is to make each movie it's own cour, but fuck that. It can it fit in a nice, compact 50 episodes series. And like any good adaption, I'd make some changes for both the medium, and some restructuring of the PT. All PT lightsaber scenes will choreography similar to Episode I. No more party raves.
>Episode I Rewrite Jar Jar. His role is the same. Saved by Qui-Gonn, and take the Jedi to his city. Still comic relief character, but cut down, and a seiyuu that isn't awful. Darth Maul lives to take on a recurring villain role. Podracing gets its own episode. The race begins and ends in a single episode. Other than that, mostly the same, tightening up the dialogue and removing unnecessary scenes, and re-working political scenes to be interesting.
>Episode II Oh, god. Count Dooku is no longer a Sith, but merely a political figure with the goal of restructuring the government. His fight scenes replace him with Maul. Dooku is still the man who ordered the clones, still under an alias. Amidala is no longer targeted by the Neimoidians for petty revenge. Instead, it'll just be a more vague political enemy, and she'll be more aggressive in the Senate. The car chase scene can remain, but shortened. More moments with Anakin and Obi-Wan actually being brotherly. Over the course of the Episode, Obi-Wan will begin hammering on Anakin for his flaws, and we'll have scenes of Obi-Wan blaming himself for being too lax with Anakin. During this part, Anakin never claims to hate Obi-Wan, but it should be apparent that it's starting to happen. Anakin still kills the Tusken Raiders, but when he shows up his mother is already dead. The droid factory scene is cut altogether, and C-3PO is only a cameo on the farm, he and R2 are not in the coliseum fight.
>>135926990 >Is it really filler? Include some episodes going over the Clone Wars. Specifically Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship , highlighting that the two are having growing friction and are drifting apart, as well as Anakin and Padme hiding their marriage. Grievous is introduced and is badass.
We open with the same scene, on the Separatist ship Maul stands-in for Dooku. Here, Maul dies as Dooku would have. Obi-Wan is conscious to see Anakin kill him, and is disturbed by Palpatine's attitude. Anakin and Obi-Wan argue over Anakin's methods, and the first spoken line to suggest that Anakin is tired of Obi-Wan's bullshit. Palpatine offers Anakin a way to save Padme's life, and initially refuses. Padme begins having pregnancy related problems, and as the Jedi Council and Republic begin falling apart, Anakin turns to the Dark Side under stress (it should be clear that he isn't thinking clearly and is running purely on emotions). Throughout the rest of Episode III, Anakin should not once be shown to be calm or have anything suggest he is in a proper frame of mind. Obi-Wan and Anakin duel's outcome is the same. Padme survives giving birth to a single son, Luke. Yoda's fight with Palpatine is cut, and Palpatine kills Mace Windu without having lightning redirected to him. Only the Dark Side will corrupt his appearance. Palpatine tells Anakin that his wife no longer loves him and left him. The dramatic "NOOOO" is cut.
One episode to bridge III and IV. Yoda and Obi-Wan talk about what to do, and reflect on the events and their own actions. Obi-Wan brings Luke to Tatooine, in case Darth Vader hunts down Padme. Include scenes to show Vader's extreme regret over his actions, and his conviction that he is unforgivable, bitterly embracing the Dark Side. He also expresses hatred towards Palpatine in a thought monologue. Episode ends with Padme dying to a vague disease, and Vader senses it.
Largely no changes aside from some cuts. The first episode ends with Luke and Ben leaving Tatooine with Han and Chewie. Vader has more screen-time, but we no longer get his thoughts. Vader and Ben's lightsaber duel will be much shorter, and less just standing around. Instead of spinning off into space, we see Vader regaining control, feeling Luke as his son through the Force, before jumping to lightspeed.
Just two short episodes to show Luke and Han as they work with the Rebellion against the Empire.
>Episode V Again, mostly just cuts. C-3PO will not spend half the time in pieces, that will be reduced to 2 episodes at most. Luke's training will begin the episode he arrives, and he will leave at the end of the next. Luke versus Darth Vader will have a continuous scene without cutting to what anyone else is doing. The other group will have everything run slightly quicker.
>Episode VI. As stated in Episode III, Luke was the only child born to Padme, the sub-plot of them as siblings is dropped, but Leia is still Force-senstive. Ewoks are not fully cut, but they won't be present in the battle. It will be Rebels vs. Empire. The Throne Room scene goes unchanged.
>>135927066 >Final Notes The biggest change to everything would be the timeline. Should have put it earlier but this post was an afterthought. There should be at least 30 years between III and IV. This gives enough time for anyone in their late 20's (such as Han) to not believe in the Force. To make Luke's age work, I'm going to change my Episode III despite just writing it, mostly because I'm dumb.
Anakin and Obi-wan don't fight quite yet. Anakin and Padme remain together sometime after the Jedi Council, and she's unhappy but trying to do what she can. She gets pregnant about 10 years into this, and during this time Anakin runs into Obi-Wan, they fight, Obi-Wan kicks his ass, and then goes to get Padme from the Empire. At this point, Anakin needs the suit, Padme gives birth, and Luke is hidden on Tatooine.
>Director Someone experienced with adaptions, I'm not picky.
>Seiyuu I don't have any preference.
>unque animu touched Fanservice shots. Everyone has larger breasts.
Fuck TV series; it should be an anime movies because TV series will be full of QUALITY anyway Since nobody gives a fuck about star wars's shitty story, just make it a shitty shonen but with cool light saber fights and shit director is watanabe and studio is sunrise
