The only material adapted that wasn't in the main story/volumes was the pool episode for Saya and Kirin. That was done to help give them what they lacked and that is development to shed light on how they worked out the kinks in their uncoordinated teamwork and reregistration. In volume 3, the story makes reference to the other day that got settled for Saya and Kirin regarding that matter. What means we'll most likely get a side story release that includes that event to make it canon.
