While Hibike wasn't a bad show at all, but for me atleast it was pretty frustrating watching all these students not doing anything, but still hoping to win big time. The most interesting thing for me was definitely Reina, but I think I'm way better of watching whiplash for a similar character without unneeded romance and drama.

Dera wasn't really that funny to me, and in my opinion, he did overshadow the market life on many occasions. He's in focus far, far too often and every time he's in a scene I wish it was someone else. There was a whole episode dedicated to Taki's hardcore training, Kumiko was shown practicing by the river several times, Midori is said to practice so much that her fingers bleed, and she has to wear the tape on her fingers to protect her from the bruising or whatever. Kumiko literally practiced herself into dehydration. Hazuki is trained hard by the tuba girl, she even complains about all the hard work I think. Asuka is shown at her house being a literal nut for music, it's insane. Reina obviously practices a lot since she wants to be special.
