I've personally believe K-On is the epitome of the cute girls doing cute things genre, and I've watched quite a few shows with this style. The second season is more fun but also gets really melancholic during the last few episodes. If you thought S1 was average you'll probably like S2 more but won't think it's the best thing of its kind like I do.
