To be fair, almost every duel in ARC-V ends with the winner winning with less than 1000 LP. That isn't even a Yuya-exclusive issue. That isn't even an ARC-V exclusive thing since it happened in every YGO series for the most part.
Off the top of my hand, the only duels I remember where the winner didn't have less than 1000 LP was Yuto vs Sora (if Yuto detached both materials) and Yugo vs Yuto. Duels against fodder don't count for obvious reasons since winning with 1000+ LP is an expectation. Even Reiji and Shun win their duels with 1000 or less LP unless they are dueling absolute fodder (e.g. Security) and they are some of the best duelists in ARC-V.

Actually there is sort of connection but only in the manga.This shit is from tumblr scans so don't quote me on it
The translations are lost between Japanese and in English but there have been many hints for a post canon relationship. When they first meet in the museum and Kaiba gets Obelisk Ishizu said "I trust you with all of my heart" which he just blows off. Now in the Japanese language this is a very strange thing to say since it implies that the two have a deep relationship despite having just met each other. In the duel between Kaiba and Ishizu, Jounochi calls Kaiba a "lady killer" because he was under the interpretation that he made Battle City just to seduce her and Ishizu starts calling Kaiba by his first name, Seto as if she knows him well. Kaiba replies to her by calling her "bold" and that she makes a good first impression. Finally after Kaiba loses to Atem, at first he is intent on blowing up the island but when Ishizu says that she'll stay even if it kills her which pushes Kaiba to help Yugi by giving him the Fiend Sanctuary card which he states that he only did to prove her wrong.
The manga version of Millenium World also has Priestess Isis and Seto and Mana alive while everyone else is dead so people have assumed that the gravekeeper clans were started from Pharaoh Seto's rule and his wife which people say was Isis since she was the only woman he knows which does explain why the Ishtar clan had the Millenium Rod and necklace which were their Items.

Priestess Isis and Seto doesn't make sense since the anime wouldn't have her die if that was the case with the gravekeepers and I don't see Priest Seto as a guy who would deeply in love then brush the girl off for another oneespecially when the girl is now a dragon which could easily nuke Egypt if she gets pissed off
As for Seto and Ishizu, nah. I doubt she'd put up with the dragon fetish or Kaiba would put up with her brothers especially since they kidnapped Mokuba.

May as well stop reading right there. Tumblr is full of bullshit when it comes to backing up couples.
Neither of them like each other and Ishizu has shown that she doesn't give a fuck about Kaiba outside of being a means to an end to restore her brother's sanity and to put Atem to rest since she showed no reaction to the island blowing up when everybody on board the ship thought he was dead.
The problem is that Kaz had Kisara stuck in dragon form so she couldn't reincarnate as a girl so people just pair Kaiba up with whatever they feel like.
Sometimes I wish that she did reincarnate so all these crack pairing could stop. Maybe an OVA or a one-shot manga? I don't know give me something
