I haven't watched the show but if I recall correctly the anime sales were rather bad so the chances of a second season. It doesn't help that the light novel ended three years ago.

The villains were mediocre, chuuni and cringeworthy, and I'm not into loli, so that wasn't an appeal.
Bondage artifact girl is best grill, though.
Overall, seems they wasted the premise on chuuni, but in hindsight it was enjoyable, especially the OP/ED.
Animation doesn't live up to 2011 tough, imo.

Besides, the source material has long came to an end, therefore there's no need to make another adaption in order to increase it's sales.

I watched it. It's battle harem with no real ending. There is also no real ending in the Light Novel. It's 26 vol or so long and has a very disappointing ending.
