How does /a/ watch their anime? I'm using madvr but I can't

How does /a/ watch their anime?

I'm using madvr but I can't seem to get the upscaling settings as nice as what I've seen. I'm watching on a 2560x1440 screen.

Right now I'm using
Chroma upscaling: Jinc AR
Doubling: always nnedi3 128 neuron
Image upscaling: jinc AR
Adaptive sharpen .2

What's the best setting to get smooth, non ringing, non artifacting lines when upscaling this much?

I don't know about you, but since I have a shit CPU and no dedicated graphics card, there's actually a noticeable difference between MPV (on Linux Lubuntu) and MPC-HC (on Windows 7). MPC tends to look blurry and slow-ish, while the few problems I've had with MPV are due to audio (like it de-syncs or completely fucks up, but restarting MPV fixes it). Not to mention that, while not so common with Anime, I get low frames-per-second watching movies at 1080p; low as in 20-22, it may not seems much since movies are 24fps, but fuck me it is unbearable. I guess part of it is due to the fact that Windows has a few heavy processes working constantly behind.

I have an AMD APU.

Also, Happy New Year to anyone who cares.
>>
>>135637020
The affect afterwords isn't measurable in any way. There is no scientific way of showing that one thing looks better than another. nnedi3 is in MPV, and is just as good, if not better than the nnedi3 in MPC's Russian rendering software.
>>
>>135637079
I have this weird problem with mpv on ubuntu: if I double click on the file it will freeze after few minutes and I won't be able to close the application (even if I kill it it will not go away), if I start it from the terminal it works perfectly.

Watching show thoroughly gives me additional pleasure. Instead of being a ‘lets rewatch this show again in the 10th time and spot nothing’ faggot I’m making enough screenshots and webms to be sure I didn’t miss any moment and would not want to rewatch the show in the next several years. Also animators should be pleased, too that I notice small things they put effort to, but the 90% of faggots watching streams on smartphones while kicking each other in subway ever won’t.
Take this picture of Ranmaru, for example: here she’s angry at something distracting her from the pet for a brief moment, but at the next cadre her face changes to neutral as she sees that this was Ichiko.

Your eye is not a camera. It doesn't see in frames. At any rate I've talked to an engineer who did work on the camera that the space shuttle uses for docking at the ISS

it needed to be ~200fps or the shaking would mess with the astronauts sense of depth and make them nauseous.

You do not need CCCP or KCP anymore. MPC-HC now comes with LAV Filters installed. All you need is MPC-HC, MadVR and xysubfilter, and you can use ffdshow audio instead of LAV if you like for advanced audio features like virtual surround for headphones, Winamp plugin support, etc.
Set MadVR chroma upscaling to NNEDI3 64 neurons, image upscaling to Jinc, and under remove artifacts, set debanding to high if watching Horriblesubs. Turn on smooth motion. If this shit is too slow switch NNEDI3 to super-xbr, sharpness 100 for chroma upscaling. Doubling/quadrupling luma/chroma resolution with super-xbr or NNEDI3 can help a lot for upscaling if your computer is fast enough.

Anybody watch anime at 60fps?
It was too smooth for me to handle, plus my computer is crap so it would always crash.

Every show could run at 60fps with the right set up. I felt sick seeing it, though.
I wanted to know other anons experience with watching at 60fps and how they felt.
