Your criteria are fuzzy. Does it count if I haven't seen the full series? Does it have to be a TV series and not an OAV/movie? Do the re-edited American versions count?
Depending on those criteria my answer might be Mobile Suit Gundam, Voltron, or Sailor Moon.
Uhh, seems it's Tiger Mask and Hakushon Daimaou (aka The Genie Family aka Bob in a Bottle - I didn't realize this one is that old until now). Just a single episode of each, though.
Oldest anime I was actually interested in were probably Maya the Bee and Sindbad the Sailor (both from 1975). Unless that Pinocchio I watched as a kid was that anime one from 1972.
Astro Boy.
1979.
I want to get to older mecha stuff at some point, though. Gundam got me into anime to begin with and I want to learn the genre's history.
Probably Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was terrible, and you could really tell its age. Thankfully anime has moved on now with great shows like One Punch Man, etc showing you don't need to rely on garbage from the past.
tetsuwan atomu (56 eps)
Dororo. The animation is dated as hell (it's 1969), but the history is pretty good.

As for movies, I watched dubs for Hakujaden (1959) and a Cyborg 009 movie from 1967 when I was a child.
Not a series but a movie.tfw she gets cucked and then dies.

Can girls even get cucked?
Mahou Tsukai Sally (1966)
