You might not realise it Anon, but the frilly edge on her left leg is tantalisingly the right patterny shape for crinkly frills. Love that you posed her on the edge of a present too. Maybe a little far on the edge, but Maki's got a history of leaps so it makes a lot of sense.

I feel kind of guilty now that two people have mentioned trying YnM. To be honest the anime's only worthwhile if you enjoy laughing at a series without hating it. The manga is a whole lot of sidestories without clear direction, even though some key elements were dropped now and then a long time ago. I'd recommend the manga more easily, but scans are iffy.
I've always liked the characters and their work relationships (as unrealistic and shoujo they are), and spent hours theorising on grander backstory plots. Never known another fan to discuss with so I have no clue how batshit those theories are, whether anyone else is as interested. I hope at least you can laugh, and feel the camaraderie the guys have in death.

This year was pretty bad, this is the most I've seen people say they received nothing, or people say that they're stuff will be late.
I've never seen so many people say they haven't finish cards by Mid-December.
Usually people finish shopping/crafting by mid November, and finish their cards by the last week of November, and send every thing the first week of December at the latest.
Also, hardly anyone posted initials this year, it seems like it was the same 10-20 initials posted over and over this year.
Even worse is we signed up SUPER fucking early this year, though I guess it helped as I saw very little "Is it too late to sign up?" posted.

The bigger it gets, the worse it'll get. It's just the nature of things like this. Larger numbers are the enemy of bureaucratic process and large groups are great camouflage for people that just want to be a part of something because everyone else is doing it, without any of the commitment, responsibility or motivation to do what's expected.
It's just something that the organizers should be mindful of as years go on. The more people you let in, the larger % will be grinched or receive their thing late, and the lower overall quality of the whole thing.

To be fair assignments for two of the card exchanges didn't go out until the 2nd and 4th December. I don't know about others but I had a bunch of series I had to read/watch before I could start - even so, they were out well before each postal deadline. I'd like to believe the vocal posters were like myself, posting in the last legs when they were beginning to burn out. I made about three or four trips to the post office throughout the month.
Initials will always be the same people over and over that you notice, there's many who don't want to ruin surprises, or are scared of seeming obnoxious if they post more than once. We have plenty examples of people making an arse of themselves in threads, it's probably offputting for shyer anons.

Several years ago I did a Valentine's exchange where someone actually came to my apartment and left a card with my doorman (with my permission). Guess it wasn't too unexpected since I was in NYC at the time and I know anons are thick on the ground out there.

I'm putting together the Gouf I got from my /ss/. It's my first time doing one of these Gundam sets but it's kind of fun in an autistic way. I just wish I could snap some of the pieces out cleaner.

You can use cutters to remove the pieces off the racks more easily. Tweezers to apply stickers and sandpaper to smooth out any nubs that might be left behind.
There's specific markers for doing the linework on the Mobile Suits as well. There should be a plethora of information on how to best assemble gunpla online or on /m/ and /toy/. Gunpla is a lot of fun and if you end up getting into more of it, it's best to know the optimal methods and how to make it look best.
