Unlike most series I'm awaiting, I feel like Chihayafuru's season 3 is inevitable.
But following the manga I'm not even sure where they'd take it. It'd be a bit weird starting the next season off right at the camp, and I don't know if there're any decent spots to end it with what we have.

Compressing the story into a movie will most likely result in a whole lot of stuff being cut out. By the scenes shown in the trailer, they are trying to be somewhat faithful and that shows who is this movie for. To attract new people for the manga. Those who already read the manga/seen the anime won´t have much of a reason to watch this.

I'm currently going through the second season, what chapter does the anime leave off at, so I can catch up later?
I've got to say, the match against Akashi might have very well been the best match in any competitive series I've ever seen. Megumu is the best and the cutest and she 100% deserved that win over Chihaya. If I already didn't have a waifu I'd be bewitched.
