Sherlock have the pathologist Molly who assists him with chemical analysis and handling corpses. She has a crush on him and is often playful. Inspired by the journeys of Marco Polo, he sets off on his sixteenth birthday to traverse Eurasia and ultimately reach his family in Japan. The person (let's call him J) travels through a war-torn Europe (thirty-years war among other things), an expanding yet declining Ottoman Empire, and the perilous Silk roads. J learns through his adventure that the past won't help him in the present. Being rather boastful of his historical knowledge, J gets involved in political and cultural conflicts when he says the wrong things to the wrong people. He also has biases that dictate who he is to trust. These biases break down as J realizes he has never been self-sufficient and needs to rely on other people to get anywhere. J tries to use his intellect to better use after being deceived multiple times. He creates a dichotomy (written down in a book) to help him sort between good and bad people. J's guide mostly works, but he asks ridiculous questions and comes across as a weirdo (which creates some comedy). An example is when a family offers him food and shelter and he basically interrogates them. Anyways, J is still optimistic and curious about the places he travels through, but he grows a lot as a character when he reaches Persia/Central Asia. An old man's wife passes away and he goes through their old things while cleaning the house after her funeral. He finds her old phone. This phone had the power to call parallel dimensions and in his young days he used to call her from his dimensional phone on the other side and eventually he overcame the separate dimensions, traveled to her dimension and got to marry her.
But suddenly, the phone rings and as he answers, a voice at the other side tells him his original dimension is in the verge of destruction caused by his disappearance from it. Balance was broken and little by little, the lack of his presence there caused the world to take a bad route towards a bad ending.
Now he has to return and make things right again.

By some random reason, both the faculty and students of a boarding school all attain powers such as elemental things like fire or ESP. At the same time, the whole school seems to have been whisked away to an pocket dimension, so nobody can enter or leave. The anime revolves around different student cliques and faculty members either trying to take over the school or try to bring peace. The main character is a quiet individual who isn't necessarily a beta, but he's reserved and quiet. He's gotten the most powerful and useful ability of all, but doesn't realize it because he doesn't use it unless it's in self defense. He and a group of both students and more sensible faculty members try to stop everyone from ripping each other to shreds with their powers, while simultaneously trying to figure out what happened to them and the school, and how to return themselves to the regular world.

J is forced to become self-sufficient by hunting for food and traversing the harsh terrain in camel trains. He now carries weapons that he can use to defend himself in dangerous situations. The country is closed to foreign influence, so people don't really care about his travels. The feudal nature of society is a shock to him after living in London. And finally, the culture is not as exciting compared to what he's seen. Miraculously, J discovers his family (who are of high status). In the end, he learns how and why he ended up in England and gains an appreciation for his REAL homeland. J chooses to return, and the anime concludes with him (in the future) telling stories to the kids back at his orphanage. It is revealed that he is now a historian at Oxford.

Love Hina 2.0
The first episode starts by showing everyday sequences from the lives of three young men: studying, working a part time job, and playing around. Snippets of chatter/news broadcasts in the background/magazine covers suggest that it's several decades in the future, and that environmental issues have become dramatically more pressing (i.e. "Record-setting temperatures in ____ this year", "Aid efforts for Hurricane ______ have been-", blah blah).
After establishing a peaceful tone, the shit hits the fan. A strange and alien military force appears seemingly from nowhere and begins taking violent action. They have beam weapons, mecha, science-fictiony gunships, etc. We follow each of the main characters for a bit as they scramble through the mayhem, before switching viewpoints to a soldier/national guard/what have you engaging the unknown aggressors. Conventional weapons prove less effective than hoped, and we see the soldier get terribly wounded before changing scenes to a more distanced viewpoint, transitioning through an overlook of the city-turned-battlefield as a whole before settling at a military command room. Big-wigs argue furiously, and one pulls aside as an aide delivers a report listing several skirmishes where the human forces have been wiped out, but that something strange was reported. Scene changes before it's explained.
Happenstance has it that the three MCs make their way to the same park just as a squad of four mecha move into it; three from one direction and the last from another. The MCs hide, and watch as the mecha approach one another and make minor gestures (pointing, nodding their heads, etc). The singleton mecha seems to end their 'conversation' by pointing down one street and making a 'lets go' gesture. The other three move down it, and the fourth guns them down from behind, to the confusion and terror of the hiding MCs. The three mecha that got hit look pretty wrecked, oozing glowing fluids, not getting up. The fourth one leaves quickly.

The MCs manage to proceed to an emergency shelter. Some soldier dudes usher them inside, where they argue about what they just saw happen at the park. Eventually one of the MCs convinces the other two that it was important, and they need to tell the military about it. They try to express to one of the soldiers what happened, but are rebuffed. Scene continues with the MC who was serious about it feeling dejected, one trying to cheer him up, and the other saying that he knew no one would take them seriously. An announcement about conserving power is played, and the lights are cut. We see the MCs crawl into sleeping bags, and the scene changes.
Cut to morning, with the MCs awakening as we hear big-wig talking with a shelter soldier, (at-ease, coming through, etc.) Big wig is accompanied by an clean-shaven military-looking older man, and both make a bee-line for the MCs. They say that there's an important matter of security and that they all need to come with to a base. The serious MC immediately figures this is about the mecha betrayal he saw, which is half true. We transition to the base, where everyone is led through a hallway to a hanger sort of room with three mecha, all covered in mechanics and surrounded by scientists. Big wig explains that they were recovered during the fighting, and that they're working to understand exactly how they work. Big wig goes on to explain that they have a fourth in-tact mecha, and that older military dude has already figured out how to pilot it.
Snarky MC chimes in with 'Kay, so why are we here'. Older military dude answers that the scientists have determined the mecha only operate when certain rare genetic markers are present. Circumstance has it that he, and the three MCs, all possess matching genetic markers for one of the four mecha in their possession.
The MCs are effectively drafted, after some drama and BS. They're told that they'll have to stay at the base, and that everything's silly-top-secret blah blah
A shitposter rolls dubs and wins a million dollars.
He spends his day lavishly but suddenly dies when he is banned.
His younger sister swears revenge and begins her path to become the world's greatest shitposter.

The mecha are repaired to the point where the mechanic/scientists would like to begin field tests. We get our first look at a cockpit, which is spacious, and has little more than a big chair with a harness. When the MCs get in, we see the chair light up, the whites out, and then fades in to a first person perspective where we hear the MCs voice (kind of hollow sounding) and see a pair of mechanical hands turn over in front of us. Operating the mecha is ludicrously simple, apparently.
Training, missions, mecha battle bullshit. Older dude dies in a dramatic battle. All the MCs are deeply affected. Next episode another teenager is brought in that's been found with the genetic marker to pilot old dude's mecha. Things are awkward between original 3 MCs and new MC, but eventually they come around.
MORE mecha mission BS. Shocking revelation, the invading force are revealed to be humans (after much implication that they're aliens). Serious MC despairs at having killed humans, but Friendly and Punk MCs smack his shit and get him to realize that whether or not they were aliens, the enemy started an unprovoked genocide and rejected all communication. Afterwards, 4th MC corners Serious MC when he's alone and expresses his suspicions of the military big-wig. They both skulk around and find some files they weren't supposed to.
4th MC is weirded out to find that he's genetically identical to old military dude. He is positive he's not a clone, he had a normal family and a normal life. Before they can get through all the files, they hear someone coming. They both move to hide, but while Serious manages to slip away, 4th MC is caught and dragged off. When Serious MC tries to ask about it later nonchalantly what happened to the 4th MC, big-wig says that he's undergoing additional training. Serious MC is understandably spooked.
Serious shares what happened with Friendly and Punk, and all are now spooked.

After deliberation, they decide to try to find some more answers by searching older dude's stuff. Asking around, they find out his quarters haven't been cleaned out yet, and break in. There they start looking stealthily until Punk MC gets impatient and completely tears the place up. Serious and Friendly are exasperated, but Punk finds a journal. Inside the journal, secrets are laid bare.
Big twist. 4th MC is not Older dude's clone, they are the same person. The invading force aren't aliens or another nation or some strange organization, they're the last human survivors from the future. In the future, humans irreparably fuck the world to the point they can't survive there any longer. However, they devised a device. The device reorders all matter in the universe (except that within a few kilometers of the device) exactly into an arrangement it previously held. Basically time-travel, but not really. The people in the future, rather than try to fix their problems, chose to flee their timeline and invade the past.
All their technology was contemporary to their timeline, including the mechas, and are gene-locked to a particular user. The three pilots that were killed by the traitor mecha were the future selves of the three original MCs. The traitor mecha was older military dude.
The journal goes on to explain that older military dude has already told big-wig almost everything. What he's left out was that the time travel / matter rearrangement device came with the invading force. He had hoped they could just quash the future invaders and try to save the world from there, and fears that if anyone were to know about the Divinity Engine (the device) they'd abandon this timeline too. The temptation of a personal 'reset' button, the ability to perpetually put off fixing the problem, would prevent any real change from being made (or so goes Old military dude's thinking).

The three primary MCs reel at all these discoveries. Several considerations are pushed around, including continuing to go along with big-wig's plan, telling them about the Divinity Engine, and fucking off entirely. They settle on continuing the status quo for now.
That doesn't last super long. The wrecked room is discovered, and they tie Punk MC to the scene. Hauled off for 'additional training'. By now, still no word from 4th MC. Friendly MC goes into total denial, pretending everything is fine. Serious MC has a solitary breakdown.
With all of the mecha, gunships, and other technology recovered from their fights, the humans (native to this timeline) have found more and more people to use the gene-locked technology, and the theater of war is rapidly turning around. The invaders seem just about snuffed out, and have been pushed into hiding.
The big-wigs seem sure of their victory, and slips of chatter are heard by the MCs. Talk of turning their newfound weapons elsewhere. Expansionist dreams. Nastiness. No talk of using future tech to fix the imminent global collapse.
Coming towards the conclusion. Serious MC feels totally alone now. Punk and 4th are gone without a trace, and Friendly's basically mind-broken. Serious sneaks out of the base, leaves his mecha and everything, and makes his way towards where the journal said the Divinity Engine is. He's caught on camera while leaving, but big-wig says to let him go, but to follow him. They've all been looking into things they shouldn't have, and they know something big-wig doesn't. Big-wig felt older military dude was holding something back.
Serious MC has a stressful but uneventful trek across the city to where the Divinity Engine is. During the trek we pan over the ruins of locations we saw during the first episode, during the idyllic slice-of-life: Malls, parks, schools, etc. Eventually we come to a out-of-place looking building tucked away between warehouses.

He goes inside and it's obviously future shit. We cut scenes back to the military command room with big-wig. They say something vague like 'move in now' and we see commandos partially armed with future shit skulking towards the building.
Serious moves deeper in and finds the device, just as the doors are kicked in and commandos flood in. He's far enough in that he's not immediately in the line of fire, and he uses this time to frantically fiddle with the device. It is also surprisingly user friendly, like the mecha. He activates it just as one of the commandos comes up behind him and tells him not to do anything.
There isn't any obvious change, and Serious straightens up from the console and turns around to face the commando. Smiling kind of sadly, it cuts to black and we hear him say something like "I hope I did the right thing."
Still black screen, we hear a gunshot.
Fades in to the ending theme. After the credits, a stinger shows a pre industrial harbor.

With gender balance being disproportionate and the loss of nearly all of the males in the world, chaos an anarchy reigns with governments crippled by the attack. The FEMEN feminists used the chaos to establish a 'caliphate' where no males are allowed and all must abide by 'progressive' values.
Over time, governments are able to retain some sense of control. The UN quickly launches a program to find a way to increase male births and made it mandatory that any male born must be reported and sent to research facilities worldwide. Females reproduce through invitro fertilization taken from the sperm samples of the remaining males left.
MC is a male whom his mother disguised as a female so that she won't have to lose him. She bribed the hospital to even alter his gender on his birth certificate. However things did not bode well when MC reaches maturity and girls spotted his bulge, causing him to be taken into custody and sentenced to a research facility. His mother is imprisoned.
At the lab, MC becomes the toy boy of the researchers there and a rather odd romance ensues when one of them bought their daughter along.
While the series is meant to be comedic and fan servicey in nature, it also offers critiques on the current SJW ideology and feminism.

In a steampunk Victorian England, a new age of discovery and advancement is ushered with scientific and philosophical breakthroughs. Explorers from lands far and wide bring back samples and tales of beasts, customs and cultures but one will change the face of Britain forever, Charles Darwin as he proposed his theory on Natural Selection, sparking a negative reaction from the Church of England. When giving a speech at the Natural History Museum, he's shot dead.
MC is a rookie detective sent by Scotland Yard to investigate the apparent assassination of Darwin. The clues he got will unravel a dark secret of the Church of England where differing factions bicker with each other for power with one planning to use a bacterium that Darwin had obtained from Australia to unleash a viral outbreak in the streets of London. This faction, the Calvinist believes that those who can survive or are immune to the infection are predestined by God to be the Elect and the rest, the reprobate. Another faction which opposes this, the Arminian is Anti Science and wants the Enlightenment age to end and any works of it, burned. The two factions while at war with each other would sometimes ally together against the High Church faction and the Catholics. This joint plan would eventually set off the Anti Papist riots that would cause MC to be sacked out of fears of him being a Catholic terrorist and have the Calvinist faction unleash the virus.
The general public believe that the Catholics are responsible for the bio-attack which turns man into beasts and increase aggression. MC is also detained by Scotland Yard as a result of this incident. However with a stroke of luck, an attack by a Vigilante Catholic group allows him room to escape. Now against all odds, he must follow the clues, blood, wars and chaos to expose the true culprits behind the death of Darwin and the Anti Papist Riots for the sake of the innocent and to redeem his reputation.

He gets cocky and excited about his newfound senpai but his best friend (who's gay for him) notices and begins following him closely eventually finding out his true identity when he's jumping out of his window for another nice night of perversion and feels all over his best friends chest and nipples through his school uniform.
His best friend uses this as a chance to get closer and threatens to tell people about his real identity of Perv-Man if he doesn't become his boyfriend...he yells and flips blushing and he makes his best friend a costume and be his sidekick instead to get out of that situation.
Meanwhile unknown to them The Police Chief's Daughter who also goes to their high school is sick of the Perv-Man's tactics and plague on Toyko and begins her own search for him.

Hell's Kitchen the anime.
MC is an aspiring chef who wants to open his restaurant. With the food sector being highly competitive, he decides that some good publicity would help with his startup. The solution?competing in the popular Reality TV series, Hell's Kitchen hosted by Chef Gordon Ramsay. Here, MC is assigned to the Red Team who must compete against the rival Blue Team to serve hungry customers. At the end of every night, a team member must go home from the losing team.
Whilst spending time at Hell's Kitchen MC realizes how Gordon Ramsay would set up ingredients and even customers in such a way that shit will happen, usually Gordon going on his rants. He also finds out that Gordon Ramsay overhears conversations and would subtily leak any information from one team to the other. He also would also plant in a bug in each team who would screw up on purpose to add drama. While MC knows who the bug in the rival team is, he doesn't know who the bug in his team is.
With this knowledge, MC must find the bug in his team and get him eliminated so that his team would not be dragged down whilst keeping his plan hidden from Ramsay to make sure he would not take any measures that could hamper his plans on increasing his chances of winning. This includes buying backup ingredients and stirring up conversations with his fellow team members about Gordon such as indirectly talking about the "bug" through saying that he heard it as a rumor.

If you actually put in effort, which after the first few weeks means like an hour a day, then learning moon well enough to do that will only take you about a year. Either learn moon, or learn how to draw or animate it or something so you can start it off as a webcomic or shorts, which are more likely to get adapted, because outside Japan webnovels aren't big enough for that to realistically get recognized. I've always thought my old job would make a good manga/anime.
It'd be sort of a dark SoL anime set at a shop that modifies cars for rich guys that like to do amateur racing. The entire staff is made of fucked up people with broken pasts and dreams. About half the series takes place in the shop, the other half is at the race track or mountain roads.
-The boss: A tall, blond guy, formerly a promising pro athlete, who suffered a career-ending injury and opened the shop after a few years of alcoholism. An over-the-top nutjob, prone to overworking himself and to violent outbursts and fits of depression. Only member of the full-time cast with a steady girlfriend. Excellent fabricator, good race driver, terrible business owner. Actually a funny guy, but tries to seem "professional" and suppress it, which basically never works.
Into high-end cars with extensive modifications, and has sworn off canyon racing for the track.
-The Boss's girlfriend: A tall former booth babe, sadistic tsundere with a sick sense of humor and the crudeness that comes from a lower-class background.
Drives a pickup truck with off-road modifications.
-The lead mechanic: Lesser financial partner in the business. An ex-drug dealer and recovering addict. An alcoholic who's allergic to alcohol. Very short, around 5'4", but acts like a monkey and can do things like climbing the lifts to get into a car that's 7' in the air with ease. Talks in a gravely monotone, extremely sarcastic, likes having his own catchphrases and using them frequently. Often gets in arguments and even physical fights with the manager. Still sleeps with an ex-girlfriend but complains about being single.
Drives an older German luxury sports car, sinks basically every paycheck he gets into upgrading it. A die-hard canyon driver, thinks the track is boring.

-The second mechanic: A combat veteran with PTSD and a drinking problem. Very religious, but possibly in the closet. Often gets extremely upset over everybody's antics and sense of humor, especially when he sees it as "homoerotic." (Which it often is, especially because everybody thinks it's funny how upset he gets over it.) Inferiority complex over the fact that he drove a truck in the military and wasn't a rifleman. (He was still in a combat zone, though.)
Drives a Japanese convertible sports car, which leads to gay jokes of its own. A casual canyon driver.
-The MC (obviously a self-insert): Formerly a front-running amateur racer and a journalist who covered racing. "Straight man" of the group, came to the shop to be its sales and PR guy but finds him spending more time trying to keep the nutjobs he works with under control. Outwardly a consummate professional and good leader, but actually has severe confidence issues. Terrible with women, still broken over an old relationship with a violent and abusive girl. A huge closet otaku. Has a minor racing crash early in the series, is trying to get his confidence on the track back.
Drives a small turbocharged hatchback. Enjoys the fact that everybody else underestimates it.
Side characters:
-The Engineer: One of the only "normal" people in the whole series. Moonlights with the shop, actually works for an aerospace company. The only person that shares the MC's perspective on the rest of the staff. Has a girlfriend that nobody's ever seen. Extremely well-connected in the motorsports industry. Is actually obsessed with WWII aircraft, many of his "original" designs are actually adapted from late-war development.
Drives a souped-up classic Porsche.
-Various regular customers, most of whom are pretty weird too. An over the top drug dealer, a flamboyant entertainment industry type with an obvious thing for teenage girls, a hulking military otaku who dreams of putting a .50 cal on top of his sports car, etc.

-The boss's friends: A bunch of likable boneheaded morons. Basically comic relief characters.
They all drive modified Hondas, for some reason.
-The bear: A huge guy with a giant beard and long hair who sometimes helps out around the shop. A role playing game fanatic and an otaku. Almost certainly got into cars because of Initial D. Claims to have no interest in women. (Or men.)
Drives a basic hatchback with three times its brand new value into modifications. Mostly into canyon racing, loves destroying people with fancy cars who don't realize that his "cheap little economy car" is actually a souped-up monster.
So, the actual plot? Part of the series is just around the shop, staff antics and drama, late nights, sweat, blood, tears, and the triumph of building the best.
The other half is racing. The one thing the whole staff can get together is the shop's own race car, a late-model German sports car bought from an insurance auction and extremely heavily modified. As the series progresses, they move from running in and winning an amateur championship to taking the fight to the pros in endurance racing, knowing they have the speed to win but not knowing if they can do it with a shoestring budget and a tiny pit crew. (In real life, sadly, we got to the biggest event of the year, showed a ton of promise and practice, and then were sidelined right before the race started by a defective electronic component.)

I'd only want it for the canyon racing scenes, though. The music would gradually transition from light-hearted Eurobeat into heavy anime rock and orchestral stuff as the racing got more serious and professional. Eurobeat doesn't suit fire-breathing monsters with giant wings and splitters battling out through the night and rain at the professional level.
Same kind of transition would apply to the OPs as well. For the first half, while it's more about the crew's antics and the team starting to come together, it'd be a more upbeat rock song, and then after the series transitions into high-impact racing stuff, I imagine something like a Kalafina or Nano song.

Oh, I forgot one of the most important points, the MC's own character development.
He becomes the team's Crew Chief, mostly because nobody else is capable of doing it. He starts out awkward about ordering the crew around and being in charge of the whole racing effort, but as he gets more comfortable in the role, his confidence in it and in the rest of his life improves, and not only does he become the team's leader, he also manages to get a girl who isn't a total cunt.if only that last bit was true ;_;
Also, I forgot to mention the drivers. The boss is one of them, the other two are a pair of laid-back racing instructors.
A manga about a single father whose only joy in life is his two kids. Then one day he hears a noise in his children's bedroom, in a panic he rushes in to find a horrible, nightmarish monster about to devour one of them. He attacks it with a baseball bat and in the ensuing struggle he is dragged into the closet, which the monster used as a portal to come through. It turns out monsters in the closest, under the bed, all of these childish myths are true, and there is an entire world of nightmares within the darkness. In the struggle, one of the children's extra blankets fell in with him, and it turns out just like monsters are real, the childish ways kids came up to defend themselves against them are true as well, like covering yourself with a blanket prevents monsters from getting you. The monster reveals that the Sandman has been imprisoned for eons, but will soon be free, and when he does, all of humanity will be doomed as he drowns children in nightmares unending. After defeating the monster, the father realizes he must protect his children, no matter what, and begins his war against the Sandman and his monsters that lurk in the darkness.
So imagine a regular father character, having tooth and nail battles against nightmarish horrifying monsters using weapons designed to be childish (using toys like holy seals, covering his weapons in children's stickers to make it more powerful, using a cloak of blankets as a defense, and creating nightlight grenades, among other things) while protecting children.

The Sandman is always the guy who puts kids to sleep, so imagine if it turns out he wants them to sleep forever. The plot would reveal that someone has set it up so that the Sandman's powers have been helping the kids sleep and dream, rather than what the Sandman initially used it for. Boogeyman would either be the original Sandman, or one of Sandman's minions.

Anything childish would do something. I'm thinking stuffed animals would be some kind of protection against fear. Also objects precious to children, like their favorite blanket, or pillow, or whatever, would be incredibly powerful against monsters, but difficult to acquire since they are always in the child's possession, and if away from the child for too long, they lose their power.

Those are the thoughts of abandoned toys left in an attic in a typical Japanese household after the original owners moved, however there is something different about these toys, they have sentience and they aren't very happy about the position they are in. Begging for a change, Toy Wizard comes up with a plan to make their bleak and miserable lives better, for he has found a way for how toys to transfer their consciousness into other hosts of a new family moving in, four of them, four of the toys, a perfect coincidence.

That is certainly a way of seeing it, only instead of a large cast who seem genre savvy, only one guy is, and he is constantly forced into situations filled to the brim with cliches while trying to avoid it. Of course it wouldn't stick solely to this thing, eventually he would realize the only way to escape his forced fate is to take down the author himself, and turns everything around as he starts using the meta of the world in fights or to keep the upper hand, his abilities would develop until the fourth wall becomes part of his perception as well, and then he starts doing stuff like messing with the panels, speech/thought bubbles, and even the sound effects.
A boy who hates misunderstandings in fiction unfinished storys constructs a machine which allows him to travel through all the anime/manga existing and tries to solve them all and bring to a happy end.
(The Anime eventually grwos so big that other anime maker build the character in in the background as a gag)
