Soultaker was pretty much the prototype for Bakemonogatari, only a few years too early.
It was stupid as hell but extremely interesting visually for its time, and the bits with Komugi were great.
Too bad it was completely overlooked because everyone saw a shitty VHS rip that completely ruined Shinbo's vision.
Soultaker was literally ahead of its time.
This reminds me that I should watch Soultaker again.

I want the old classic voice back. That was god tier moeshit voice since it was actually unique enough.
When I saw the news at first it made me excited since I enjoyed the OVAs but after realising that Momoi Haruko no longer voices Komugi it made me feel nothing but disappointment.

Like I said, I just want new smut. I agree that the old series was better by looking at the concept art alone (By that I mean, Koyori has clearly had her breasts reduced), but if the series doesn't do well, we get nothing. Kind of like with Servant X Service, Lucy was an amazing character design that warranted way more doujin exploitation, but the few that we got were all very vanilla, sanitized doujins.
If it doesn't take off, I have nothing but more Touhou and Kankore to look forward to for C90. Even Cinderella Girls seems to be tapering off as Love Live and every other of the Idol Anime boom takes up space.
