Akame ga Kill
>hey let's create this fantastic world with unlimited possibilities and adventures, full of magnificent weaponry, and so much interesting and fantastic people living in it
>what now?

i think "C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control" is the best example of this.
it had so many interesting thematic elements
>financial district that could influence your future
>the clown guy and the spinning clock and all the bible references with the horsemen and the apostles
>servants being publicly controlled and able to be bought out
>servants being the embodiment of their owners future
>Midas money overtaking the world
and the story was basically
>kid with OP servant beats everyone even though he's utter shit and a crybaby

I agree but the difference between SAO and Accel World feel minor at best in terms of setting.

I forgot how much I hated the way they animated MC-kun.
Little fat fuck crybaby for his entire series.

The music was pretty top shelf for this series though. That scene that used the shoes in pink song was pretty moving.

The SFX was hillarious, though.

Good Idea Shit Execution: The Series
Pic related.
It's not that the story is bad, it's just hard to compete with flying city ships, mechas out the ass and complex faith based magic systems.
