>Watching anime as it airs Instead of marathoning it at your own comfort
>Wanting to actually take part in those shitty weekly threads
Who are you quoting?
I can't believe I'm reading this.

Sometimes those weekly threads are all that makes a series worth watching. Pic so related.
>>135534900
>Sometimes those weekly threads are all that makes a series worth watching
Then that's how you know an anime is garbage.
>>135534805
Who ya quoting.
>>135534805
Let me rephrase OP
>I'm a fucking idiot that doesn't want to participate in /a/ at all
If you miss all the big events and crazy episode discussions, whenever they come, you miss arguably the point of what makes /a/ fun at all.
Whenever I marathon a recent seasonal show, if I liked the show at all, I always wish I was keeping up with it with /a/ instead of being that guy late to the party trying to force things to be lively again. That guy sucks. Don't be him.
>>135534805
But what about the in-jokes, the OC, the hype, the girls, the shared excitment and in-jokes you'll miss out on?
What would even be the point of life without them?
>>135535161
>If you miss all the big events and crazy episode discussions
You can apply this only to a few shows per season. Most of the time it's either circlejerk, shitposting central where you can participate without watching the show or just dead threads that reach 200 posts at best.
>>135534805
>posting on /a/ in the first place
>>135535161
>if I liked the show at all, I always wish I was keeping up with it with /a/
So you could see some faggots shitposting about how terrible the show is while still watching it weekly? Not even OP but even though I watch stuff as it airs ,I avoid most of the threads weekly unless it's one of those shows barely anyone is keeping up with.
I watched Rolling Girls with /a/ but RGfags were subdued and patrician as fuck so it was fine.
Everything else I watch at my own pace. Umaru, Teekyu, etc. I watched Ninja Slayer as it aired but didn't post in the threads
>>135535339
That generally only applies to shit shows that /a/ wasn't taking seriously to begin with. Who cares if a battle harem show gets a bunch of shitty "discussion". It's a fucking battle harem.
Even a minorly decent show tends to get okay discussion.

Noragami threads were pretty shitty as well because of a certain incident.

What else are we supposed to do on 4chinz but make fun of plebs?
>>135535586
Actually use it properly? If you want to act like a /b/tard go to /b/. Or /v/ or /pol/.

It's all about hibikeepin' it real.

Sure anon, whatever makes you sleep better at night.

>not watching ecchishit before showering
>not watching solshit during breakfast for an early positive outlook on life
>not watching seinen/shonenshit during the day to fill the void that is your life with some excitment
>not watching moeshit before bed for happy dreams
It's like you don't even adjust your animu and mango time properly into your day for maximum practicality and mood immersion

I like discussing it weekly though, Also I have no patience.
Harem shows are the most fun on /a/ to discuss.

>being a casual
Stay pleb.
>>135534805
Watching anime as it airs is actually easier as it gives you more time to watch more shows at once. Also, at least you can avoid starting those "just finished (name of anime)" threads that tend to pop up a few times per day.

>Fun is not allowed
I hate anime because it airs so slowly. I wish they made an entire season and aired every day or every other day for a couple of weeks straight.
That being said, I hate manga even more. I can go through something that took years to create in a couple of days. And it's extremely infuriating if the manga is ongoing, and there's only a few new pages coming out a month.
>>135537453
Watching shit with /a/ is like participating in twitch chats. Don't.
I never watch anime on weekly basis. 20 minutes is too short for me to get immersed. And by the time a week passes, I'll have lost interest in the next episode. This is why I just wait until the seasons are over and marathon the good shows. It's also pretty neat since you can easily tell what shows are shit and what aren't.
