I would say I'd like to lose weight but every year I never stick with it, I try for a few weeks and burn out because I miss eating fattening junk food and being a lazy sack of shit. I need to lose about 50 lbs and I know I'm really overweight....

But I get what you are saying, I shouldn't taking everything I see depicted in anime and on the internet so literally, though sadly like I said I don't have much of a social life.
I'm sure there are muscular men in Japan and I'm sure Japanese women find them attractive but my point was that in anime, video games and other types of media, Japanese men are not shown to be overly muscular or they are depicted as being scrawny and skinny.

I have seen quite a few anime that show muscular men but in reality a lot of young Japanese men are not that muscular so it's not really depicting Japanese men realistically.
