When it comes to Helck past he killed his brother who killed the previous Demon Emperor, he knows about the Humans Awakening as "Heroes" that's about it. The King of the Humans though he is one creepy mother fucker.

The King basically made them powerful than the average Demon because they basically given up their humanity, and became "Heroes". Also the King has given them almost infinite respawn as they died and were resurrected back at his castle.
