I don't really mind the song for Aragoto, as I actually like it. What I dislike is the actual animation. It just doesn't synchronize well with the song and there are a lot of static background-less shots where some motion would work wonders. The parts that actually have movement, while more plentiful than in the first OP, feel a lot more stiff and a bit too slow.
I'm not saying it's a bad OP, but it feels inferior to the first one and I'd say there are quite a few OPs this year that are better than it.

I think the central problem, visuals wise, was that it was an exact carbon copy of the first OP (black and white characters fighting and standing around in a colorful background). I think it would have been better if they tried something different and, like you said, better paced with the song. Another choice of mine would also be Kekkai Sensen's OP.

That was another problem too. It should have focused more on the sci-fi aspects than the romance aspects. The two main leads had zero chemistry together and their romance was dry and boring as hell.
What I liked about Steins;Gate (since it is the same writer) was that it focused harder on the time travel than the romance. Kurisu and Okabe also had a great dynamic together and their relationship is well developed, but at the same time they didn't shove their relationship down the viewer's throats to the point where you might as well not even mention time travel at all and just make it a shoujo romance.
