It was not. In fact, I actually liked this series a lot. There were strong performances by the cast, and I was startled to see that the redhead - the main girl - WASN'T the love interest. Blue was, and she was fucking hot.
Seriously, the episode where he's engaged to her is amazingly erotic in the implications. The main problem is that they've crammed a rather complicated and incomprehensible plot into what should just be a character-driven show. I cannot understand what was happening in the last two episodes.
I liked the protagonist a lot. He was genuinely likeable to watch, and he wasn't a complete fucking faggot. Mostly, he was pretty competent - But bewildered by the crazy shit going on around him.
