Agreed. I also felt like the way Caroline was finally killed off felt very abrupt. It seems like the already long movie should have been twice that length with the amount of story they were trying to tell. It's a shame it wasn't 2 or 3 OVAs instead but then the quality may have suffered. It's about as good as it could have been, given the limitations.

I have a tremendous boner for almost anything Yoshiaki Kawajiri directs so I loved it. I also liked the first Vampire Hunter D movie but I think I preferred this one.
