Good but seriously overrated.
Animation wise is amazing for most of the action scenes, first episode in paticlar and while the final episode was underwhelming (or maybe overwhelming because way too much flash and shit going on the screen while the pink aura of Boros didn't help) it was still pretty hype.
The biggest problem is the pacing and it gets too repetitive. Overall it's great if you watch it for the action and I can't wait for S2.

It started off strong but it ended up getting old. Like I get it: it's taking everything from the source material, but they could have at least expanded on other areas like the secondary characters and the Saitama's character. The first episodes were really nice since they explored everybody's reasoning to becoming a hero or a villain. Midway they skip the motives and go straight to the usual "LOOK AT ME AND MY WELL ANIMATED ATTACKS FOR 5 MINUTES! YOU WILL NEVER DEFE- [dies to one punch]"
The ending could have been better as well. I loved how well it was animated throughout Boros's entire fight, but he just ends up dying in the most anticlamatic way possible. The strongest guy ever (or was) who went searching for a challenge for 20 years just dies and says "Well fuck prophecies, huh?" Even Saitama has nothing meaningful to say. You'd think something would have dawn on him when he saw Boros, guy who is like him who's bored to hell being the strongest and even asks him "What does it mean to be the strongest", die so easily and for nothing. It didn't occur to him that one day he too will be obsessed enough to spend his life looking for someone who will destroy him that quick? And there's almost no way to defend this since the scene suppose to be serious; the mood, the Saitama's tone talking to a dying Boros, it was made to be a serious moment that failed to deliver.
I know this show is supposed to be a huge joke, but a lot of the times the scenes were purposely made to be serious. The biker, for example, getting some spotlight was good since it highlighted how some heroes aspire to be something even though they struggle; a big contrast to Saitama's just-for-fun OP-ness.It's still a fun show, but its animation is its main driving force. It lacks the depth an AOTY would have.

OPM's humor isn't ironic. Its satirical but not to the extent that everybody says. Its mostly comedic and ridiculous in tone but it does have couple examples of serious aspects in its storytelling. I don't really know how others get this impression you're not suppose take it seriously at all.
