problem I have with these series is that it doesn't have much of a focus
characters are just fucking around and that would be cool if the characters themselves were compelling (or at least are relevant to my interests), but they usually aren't

The only thing I like about it is his absorption/mimic ability which is done far better in Tensei Shitara SlimeEven though they mostly dropped the slime part of the MC
