The only reason Star Wars was ever remotely popular was at the time all the other sci fi sucked. Same reason why TFA is doing so well because no other sci fi is currently good. Even if it is pretty much ripping off A New Hope and all the subliminal and liberal indoctrination such as the scene with Storm Trooper with the baton and riot shield which is parallel to our world where currently cops are evil and the minorities such as the negros are innocent people because they dindu nuffin.
