Nah, it wouldn't work because the Witch Hunter armor isn't supposed to have a helmet. They just took the God Hunter armor and made it the Witch Hunter one instead. I really hated the abomination that was the anime's God Hunter armor too.
If we're gonna have a proper adaption I want the proper Witch Hunter armor. A sleek suit of knight armor with no helmet.
Also, Kyouya's helmet was fucking abysmal.

My hopes dropped like a bomb when Kyouya didn't shoot Kiseki before the fight started. Fade to black gunshots could have been a great way to end off the episode. But nope, Episode 9 exists.

Even then they hid most of the actual gore behind objects. You did get to see a large pool of blood under Takeru's upper body though.
I really wonder how they'd have handled later scenes such as Takeru punching a barrier until his fists are just lumps of meat with bones sticking out, or sticking a sword into someone's shoulder to get them to do what he wants.Or slaughtering Purebloods with Haunted. Goddamn I want to see that so badly.
