After Ami's bitch phase, she settled into most likeable character because of her astute empathy for everyone's situations, and even after trying and failing to make a move on Ryuuji she had the good sense to back off and be supportive while advancing her career and becoming queen bee of the school. You said you want things to be unrealistic purely for the sake of being unrealistic. That's been your entire point. "I don't want real or realistic". If that's what you're going to try and argue you can't pick and choose which parts you want realistic and which parts you don't.
And really the most confusing thing about this whole situation isn't just that toradora is unrealistic. It's that it's unrealistic in ways that are actually worse than reality. There's plenty of romance out there that's more idealized than reality but doesn't have to resort to making it's characters autistic retards with no grasp of emotion or impulse control. The fact that you actually prefer toradora over other such shows, as well as the fact that you stupidly say "durr thats what all anime is if you don't like it then don't watch anime at all" just goes to show how little of anime you actually know.
