I mean, it had fun moments and the visual style was unique, but it all felt stale and boring after a few episodes.

I liked Inferno Cop, but that was 12 x 2 minutes. The joke really got old when it was 26 x 15 minutes.
The thing about Ninja Slayer is that the DOMO + explosion in the background kind of jokes aren't as hilarious once you get like 8 episodes in, but then the plot picks up and you simply watch it for that while the same old jokes just become background flavor.

Maybe you should've watched it past the first couple of episodes. Ninja Slayer picked up a lot by the 8th episode, and by the 12th I was enjoying it unironically.

I came for the style, but stayed for the jokes. Like all comedy it's hit or miss but when i saw bullets with casings intact being fired i knew i have to watch it all.
