I never said that Casca doesn't love Guts, she obviously does care for him. But she is split between two loves, one that is ideal and one that is mostly pragmatical. The manga was pretty graphic as well, though I wouldn't necessarily say erotic.
The manga and the anime both actually had me tearing up during that part with how tragic it was with everyone dying, and also how Griffith was just completely succumbing to his demons. I'm not one of these retards who thinks Griffith is the true hero of Berserk, but I still really commiserated with how tragic his loss of his humanity is.
Then I watched the movie and it literally just took all of that and made it seem like an action movie spectacle. It really left me cold.
