In other words, Boros lived the dream Saitama had in the first episode.

Don't forget the heartbeats.
Saitama makes me kind of sad. Boros was so damn strong that no one could oppose him, eventually he became bored from being so strong he set out and traveled for who knows how long looking for the prophesied worthy opponent. Yet, when he finally finds him, he can't even make him fight seriously at all, because that guy is just so overwhelmingly strong, that it's probably the strongest human in the whole universe.
And then we look at Saitama, which is dying to fight someone that can actually make him fight seriously for once, and when he finds this Boros guy, who could probably bust a planet on his own, he kills him with just one serious punch, that's all it takes.

Not just a serious punch, the strongest punch in Saitamas arsenal was used to kill him.

Not a serious punch.
The WIND SHOCKWAVE from his serious punch.

Boros kept searching for a fight that would give him a thrill. That's exactly what Saitama wanted and he could empathize with him.
Saitama didn't fight Boros,. he could've killed him at round one. He gave Boros the exact fight that Saitama was literally dreaming of having.

They were seeking the same thing, but it ended up being bittersweet for both. That very part you posted when Boros called his name made me sad.

Yes, it was go watch the episode on Hulu with the official translations.

No, it really wasn't his strongest punch, Boros even says that he had strength to spare.
Whats more the ONE himself has stated that Serious Series: Serious Punch is nowhere near Saitama's maximum.
Fucking tertiary piece of shit.

>strongest punch
>>135153733
That's what Saitama wanted Boros to believe. Boros explicitely says he still wasn't fighting with all his might.

Yeah another thing that made me kind of sad was Saitama totally knew where Boros was coming from and tried to humor him as best as possible, just taking a lot of hits and not ending the fight right away. Saitama probably knew he'd need to use the "serious" punch long before finally deciding to use it--he probably saved his kill move for when it looked like Boros was putting his all into one final attack.
