Are we living in the Golden Age of Moe?
Or has that already passed?

>Golden Age of Moe
It started with K-on! and it ended with K-on!!
>>135143128
That was two or three years ago.
We're in the phase where moe is still huge, because Japanese NEETs can keep a company alive these days, but it seems to be moving back to the old ways with things like KLK, AoT and OPM gaining a large audience that moe can't hope to attain.
Moe will reign only when everything else is failing.
>>135143251
So, if what you say is true, then we are living in the "silver age" of moe.
>>135143295
Basically, yes.
>>135143128
I mean, at least 75% of /a/ is into moeshit these days so I'd say yes. Can't wait 'til f/a/ggots here grow up so we can have conversation about mature women.
>>135143251
Moe is present there. Whenever you see a blushed Mako after seeing Ryuko's breasts, or a silly Mako doing stupid cute shit, there's moe.
>>135143251
No, we're living in the harem era.
golden age was pre to mid 80s
>>135143621
> mature women.
So, like 12?
>>135143754
That was 2000-2008 or so. Uninspired LN adaptation era or online game anime era would be more accurate.
>>135143736
That's just like moe, though. A transitionary moe phase, not full moe.
>>135143212
That was the height of the golden age but IMO it lasted from Lucky Star until the K-ON movie.
RIP moe 2007-2011
>>135143889
*Light moe
>>135143911
When will GodAni bring back moe?
>>135143911
This year had kinmosa, nnb, wakaba girl, gochiusa. Has been a very good year.
I'd personally like it if Ho-kago Tea Time
reunited and went to Edinburgh and got drunk in a pub.
>>135143807
>Pre to mid 80s
>Golden age of Moe
Pic related 80's moe-considered anime. Regarding style,"golden-age" is a very subjective categorization, since it depends on taste.
Regarding popularity, you're just stupid because this shit is basically obscure considering how little popularity "moe" had in those days. Moe between quotation marks because it basically didn't even exist.
Nobody fucking liked moe back then. Dbz and other fighting shit was the bread that sold.
I thought we were living in the idol era?
>>135143754
>harem era
>now
>not in the 00s along with the VN era
hijacking because I don't want to make a whole new thread.
why do nips always say "let's do our best" in regards to school work or whatever? is it remnants from their ww2 propaganda?
>>135144816
The same reason you say "let's go" instead of whatever else whenever you say "let's go". The same reason you say "Nice to meet you" when other people say "Treat me well" when meeting somebody new. It's just culture. And you're retarded
I never liked any moe until Yuru Yuri. I couldn't get into K-On.
>>135143128
What a horrible transparence.
>>135143128
>Golden age of a feeling
Full retard
>>135143128
I think we are still in moe phase however it's toned down quite a-lot here in the west compared to Japan. It's still breathing, however it's on it is getting harder for "moe" to breath.
>>135145198
Yes, 4KIDS censored so much moe out of their steamboat imported anime VHS tapes. Moe is so toned down here.
>>135145258
>4KIDS
>>135145162
YotsubaC, sup?
>>135143859
>>135144652
Battle harem era*
>>135143128
Moe is still alive and kicking, diverting and becoming varied is all. I mean, Moe was a thing before Kon and just kicked off anew with it.
>>135143128
the twilight of the golden age the strange time were some moe has stayed similar to the golden age and some has gone too far
like love live, yuru yuri, love lab and non non biyori recently has been pretty golden, but theres a lot of moeshit everywhere these days that cat bakery vn comes to mind
>>135147035
Have there been any innovations in the field of moe craftsmanship though? It feels a lot more derivative, like it's riding the 2nd wave of a trend after the 1st set the rules. Moe is still popular because it still sells so it's made for that reason but it's not trying to artistically accomplish anything at this point.
/a/ discussing the current state of moe is surprisingly civil.
>>135143295
More like the Platinum age.
>>135144562
DBZ was most definitely not selling well during pre to mid 80s, especially since it didn't start airing until 89.
