I've got mixed opinions on their award winners, but I wonder what's so amazing about this series that they held off on a grand prize until this came out and basically said the other properties were shit compared to this.

Instead of complaining, I am going to describe what I personally want from this story in anime form.
I want something like Sore Wa No Woto. In terms of a world-focused anime that is familiar yet different. A world that isn't just identical to us with minor differences, but a world with a different culture. And just because I am a fag for heavy speculations, I hope they have enough cohesion for me to comprehend every minor plotpoint if I analyse it enough.
99% chance I won't get what I want. But at least I am not just going to complain about a show that isn't even out yet.
