I have no specific vision of perfection, but I'd very much like it if production committees would start fully adapting series they license (faithfully to the source, and always to completion) with much larger budgets on average. Sakuga is depressingly rare.

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

Cute cyborg race queens competing in supersonic bike races. The MC is the Japanese champion, a normally reserved and clumsy girl who becomes HOT-BLOODED on the race track, and she must go against much more experienced racers from all over the world to become the World Champion, so that the boy she has a crush on (one of her former mechanics) notices her efforts and proposes to her.
Oh and also THE SOUNDTRACK IS ENTIRELY EUROBEAT.
Like mushishi but without the travel.
Basically rural japan scenery+shinto/buddhist mythological fuckery and a comfy cast of characters living comfy lives.

Hopes on Mushoku Tensei, but that would need 4 seasons to be justifiable and not rushed the fuck out of like the majority of anime. Each season focused on his respective age period.
Tbh I'll just bask in the fact we WN & LN readers can peacefully discuss it, and the manga bros are pretty cool about it too recently.
