2015 didn't have a lot of movies anyway so yeah, I'd say it was the best one. Certanly better than the GitS one. I haven't seen the GuP one.

You need to watch Arise and the two extra OVAs from Alternative Architecture. The Movie wasn't awful but could've been a lot better. Had some cool ideas but didn't go into too much detail with any of them.
