What can be done?
Normal humans persecuted PK-users out of fear, so war ensued and in the end Cantus won.
PK-users needed death feedback to make a society for themselves, but they couldn't give the population that demonstrably hated them the upper-hand. Mutating beyond recognition the former humans was a rational conclusion, not necessarily one born out of menace.
In the end, it was a simple case of us vs. them.
