Are we really supposed to believe this guy can't do 100 pushups/situps/squats?
>>
Every single day for years.

He probably could, but the point is to keep a clear mind and focus on your goal and nothing else.
>>
He can.That's why he's a jobber.
>>
>>135056840
He used the air conditioner because he didn't want to have his tank top spotted by sweat-stains.
>>
>>135056840
Anyone can, even you. Consider this fact.
>>
Darkshine is more kin to saitama then tank top
>>
I doubt he could run for 10km straight.

Plus 100 pushups for a guy like him is basically bench press 90kg for 100 reps.
>>
>>135057193
But then I'd become too strong and that would be boring. Where is the fun, without any complications?
>>
>>135056840
>completely missing the point
Can you retarded animefags stop making threads already
>>
>>135056840
His limiter wasn't made in Japan.
>>

>>

>>135056840

It is literally impossible to do Saitama's training regime and not end up seriously injuring or killing yourself. Remember that he did all of these activities EVERY SINGLE DAY, even when his body was screaming at him to stop because he was causing internal injuries. You don't have the power of anime to prevent you from fucking up your muscles and bones.
>>
>>135057292
If he wasn't resting his feet on the ground, sure, but that's not how you push-up. Not even close to benching 90kg.
>>
>>135057687

I can't help but be skeptical, anon.

>>
>>135057741
Even the strongest and fittest must take days off so the body can recover, you cannot exercise to that level every single day. There's a reason gyms limit people to 2-3 times a week.
>>
>>135057741
Doing that many of them on top of the 10k with no rest days ever is going to mess you up.
>>
>>135057741
Try it for a week.
>>
>>135057741

>>
>>135057848
I'm sorry to dissent. I know people who have done 100 burpees every single day with no rest to no ill effect. Fuck conventional knowledge.
>>
>>135057848
You sound like a pussy.
>>
>>135058234
Last I checked, burpees didn't involve a 10KM run.
>>
>>135056840

one builds stamina through anaerobic training, not weight lifting retard
>>
>>135057848
>There's a reason gyms limit people to 2-3 times a week.
actually that has more do do with keeping benches/machines open than anything else; a business makes more money by bringing in more customers, not letting the same meatheads hog the equipment everyday.
>>

>There's a reason gyms limit people to 2-3 times a week.

>>

>>
>>135056840
He's probably a typical /fit/ guy who says "100 pushup/situp/squats everyday is wrong and immoral" and instead simply lifts and bulks up.

Fucking retarded shit.
>>
>>135057810
Ok, are we joking that doing the stuff will actually make you strong, or that it's not like how that works?

Make up your mind /a/.
>>
>>135060657

He's seen doing thousands of squats in the manga bro.
>>
>>135057292
Bench = pushups
Anon pls.
>>
>>135056840
Are you literally so retarded that you can't figure the joke? Even Genos said that Saitama's training is below average, it's just a parody of the usual shonen training where with a bit of hard training the MC becomes like 1000 times stronger. Also in a world with high tech cyborgs that could blow up cities and people with psychic powers Saitama's training is even more ridiculous.
>>
>>135057072

What if the air conditioner was sent to Earth by aliens in order to weaken us?
>>

>>
>>135057848

>>
You people don't know anything about fitness, try joining a gym it helps a lot. Even the regulars at my gym watch anime and told to watch opm.

>>135057292
Push-ups doesn't equal body weight bench lmao
>>
Removing your limiter is less about the specific activities and more about pushing yourself to your body's limits every single day
Garou nearly killed himself several times fighting heroes above his level and he started to break his limiter.
>>
>>135056840
When the tanktop he use to seal his all too powerful strength has torn out we'll see the real fear.
>>
>>135056840
He probably had the AC on.
>>
>>135056840
The point isn't the 100 pushups/pullups/squats.

Its to set a goal that is outside of your physical limits and then achieve said goal. You have to break your limiter. But not everyone's limiter is set in the same place.
>>
>>135062581
This
>>
>>135056840
Saitama didn't got his powers just because he trained so hard.It seems that there is some kind of god that fulfil the wishes of those who really, really want something(like saitama wanted to be a hero)

At least this was what One's manga implied with the homeless emperor story.
>>
>>135062304
I don't think Garou was breaking his limiter, though. Garou morphed into a monster, Saitama stayed human. Garou ended up sacrificing his technique for the power of a monster, which is what fucked him. If anything, Garou would have to break his technique/skill limiter, not his physical one.
>>
>>135057305
You can do things like Boros, but then Saitama will kick you because bad guys must die.
>>
>>135062903
That doesn't make sense because that implies there is someone stronger than Saitama. Saitama is the strongest, no one gave him any powers as that is why he would beat gods.
>>
>>135056840
10km would be absolute hell at that much muscle.
For the first week, that is
>>

He didn't start out that strong. Like most people, he probably gradually increased the reps, over the years he just took it to the fucking extreme. However, he also kept pushing his limiter higher and higher as a result, to the point it might not even be reachable for him anymore.

The whole point is that Saitama started doing something that was literally impossible for him. It's not about the amount, it's the starting point and pure willpower.
>>
>>135062903
Its already stated that the power granting god had nothing to do with saitama.
>>

>>135057687
The only thing that would compromise you for doing that regimen every day is the 10km running. You'll fuck up your legs without a day of recuperation per week.

The rest isn't even that intense.
>>
>>135056840
He could, but he eats a healthy diet and so didn't lose his hair, therefore doesn't have access to powerful reserves of strength. Darkshine on the other hand is pure shit. He's bald and works out but is a weak jobber.
>>
OPM is a parody. Saitama is that strong because of the same reason almost every shonen protagonists perseveres: determination. There's no logic to it.
>>
>>135064134
Working out every day doing the exact same thing for 3 years, regardless of what you do is not good for you. People have rest days for a reason.
>>
>>135064254
Again, other than the 10km running, it's not even intense exercise. In fact it barely qualifies as "exercise". It's an advanced warm up.

He was breaking it, up to a certain point. His fight with Saitama was what pushed him into full desperation mode because he couldn't find the missing element to evolve further. Then Saitama pointed out that Garou had been lying to himself all this time and his half-assed monster hobby, which he chose because he lacked the confidence needed to become a hero, would never match his genuine HERO FOR FUN mentality. That's exactly what Garou needed, a clear, non half-assed goal, and determination to reach it. Like becoming strong enough to BTFO any villain with one punch.

Garou also never exactly morphed into a monster, because of his heart most likely, otherwise he would've ended up like Crabrante and co. But his costume just... came off? Like a cocoon.
>>
>>135064140
Darkshine started out as a normal pussy-asss virgin-white ass bitch ass nigga and set himself a goal - a strong, aesthetic body. He used that body to also become a S-class hero.
Saitama's goal from the start was to be the strongest hero and that was what he focused his life on.
>>
>>135064355
The workout isn't heavy, but it is enough to put stress on the muscle that will build up when you keep doing it with no breaks for three years straight no breaks.
>>
I thought the point was that Saitama went past his natural limiter or whatever the fuck. It wasn't the actual training but that Saitama broke his limits.
>>
>>135064450
Other than the running, which as I said would wreck your legs, I doubt the pushups would lead to any severe consequences. Maybe some bad aches later on.
>>
How strong would Saitama be if he had the power of the tank top?
>>
People forget he was also fighting monsters.
>>
>>135057848
>2-3 times a week.
I use to wake up 5am, and hit the gym everyday, doing SL exercise.
>>
>>135064678
He would've blew up Sonic's balls.
>>
>>135064362
its not that he wasn't confident, it was that he disliked how heroes are. He still wanted to be a hero, but unwilling to be a part of a group he perceived as bullies he became a monster that would unite everyone against him. That's why he "compromised".
>>
>>135064640
The scenario assumes you keep doing push ups while you have bad aches, making those aches worse and given little time to heal. Over the course of 3 years it adds up.
>>
>>135064678
He'd be a jobber
>>
>>135056840
he is basically one of those excessively lifting faggots there are plenty of in real life too, he is only made stronger for obvious anime purposes. Like in real life too those fags lift and do training in defined schedules otherwise it fucks up the muscles and it gets rather unhealthy
>>
>>135064875

He should have become the hero to unite everyone.
>>
>>135058234
Because doing 100 burpees is not enough stress to cause overtraining.
People seriously underestimate what the human body is capable of adapting to.

>>135057848
>There's a reason gyms limit people to 2-3 times a week

Yes, because otherwise they would make gains, realize they're being conned and look for a better gym.

Jesus guys, does anyone itt even lift?
>>
You guys are forgetting that in OPM, if you obsess over something you can turn into your obsession, like the crab man. Saitama was obsessed with becoming the strongest, never took a day off and stuck to his insane routine until he went bold and became strong. Not many people have that much passion and dedication for their goals.
>>

>>
>>135064746
That's cool and all, but you realize even though you might have gotten stronger and stuff, unless you have unnatural levels of testosterone and eat like a fucking dumpster, you are not training as efficiently as possible in that model?
>>
>>135062581
The one answer. The fact that everyone is dissecting and defending the subpar training regime itself shows a huge lack of understanding behind the series (it's explained in the ONE version for the animeonlyfags)

It's comparing a big number (powerlevel/toughness) with a concept, i.e a googolplex vs. the concept of infinity. They're two completely different things in terms of understanding.

TankTop could by all means do this regime but it wouldn't be pushing his limits to the brink of death it did for Saitama. It's about breaking beyond your limits to the point where power levels don't mean shit.
Seriatim broke his OWN limiter. A subpar unemployed dude decided to do this ridiculous regime that pushed the limits of both his psychological and biological limitations.

Well, Saitama says that he chose to become a monster because he had no confidence and I personally agree with that (look at Garou's eyes in pic related).

I think Garou's image of a hero was extremely pure and idealistic, that's why the real association rustled him so much and Saitama's answer plain broke his face, and that's why he chickened out himself. He was bullied so much as a child he chose the role that was always forced upon him by the bullies, instead of breaking out of it and striving to become a Hero For Peace, like he actually wanted.

I totally agree with that, but i just also think he just doesn't be involved with heroes because they to him seem like the evil bullies among a group of kids. I mean who would want to be in with the school bullies when you were one of the bullied? naturally you'd hate them and strive to be unlike them.
>>
>>135065853
Fuck, didn't even realise that.
>>
>>135066458
I agree with the connection. But to be honest, with the way he lectured them in the final battle, it seemed like he didn't even consider them "heroes" in the first place. He nicknamed them "hypocrites" and asked the "Does doing X/Y/Z mean you're a hero? You think that's enough?" questions too many times. He even threw a fit at Saitama's face, claiming that his carefree attitude is not heroic and whatnot. That stemmed from his personal image of a hero, in my opinion.

Then the ugly kid came in and made him realize that HE is, in a sense, a hero and Garou got his confidence and will to live back.

Tank top may be /fit/, but he trained properly with progressive difficulty, rather than almost killing himself.

I think the point here is that it was on the edge of Saitama's personal limit. It can be a lot lower then limits of others. Well, its obvious that tank-tops limit is a lot higher than Saitama's. Hell, I bet limits of most members of hero association are. But they didn't break it like Saitama. As I understand this, just before breaking his limit, Saitama was barely stronger than that bicycle fag (probably stronger, but its not the point). But then he breaks it and his strength skyrockets. It's like reaching nirvana state. Those "limits" are not physical, they are metaphysical.
>>
>>135067197
>it seemed like he didn't even consider them "heroes" in the first place
Because his image of a hero was one of the ideal, sort of like I dunno, Silver Age Justice League or something.

No petty squabbles about rankings, money, power levels, factions, politics, etc. Only thing that matters is the pursuit of good and justice and saving the day.

The Hero Association is almost nothing like that. The idealists like Mumen Rider and Saitama are few and far in between. And Saitama might not count because his boredom and apathy has turned him into a petty person even while hero'ing. But at the very least, he doesn't compromise why he's a hero. He doesn't do it for the fame and glory, and actually cares about the well being of people around him.

>>135068034
Mumen Rider's problem is confidence. He's happy enough being a weak scrub.

Also he put all his stat points into JUSTICE.

not really, he was breaking the concrete while running before breaking his limits, he also bent the shit out of a car and sent Personification of a light bulb pull cord flying through a building

Will /a/ be stronger than King if she tries?
>>
>>135069799
Stay mad fatass.

>hurr willpower
If you tried to do 100 pushups and 100 situps a day, you would be pissing and shitting blood and be crippled for life eventually because your muscle tissue actively start dying from being destroyed repeatedly too much. Just read up on what happens to people who try shit like crossfit and work themselves to death. Shit like rhabdomyolysis used to be super rare. Now it's a common occurence.

Saitama just had the power of anime to ignore the harmful effects of overtraining and instead turn it into his impossible strength.

My mistake. But the point still stands, I think limits are not something physical.

Helps me wake up and stay fit amongst other exercise

no aircon

I know this is faggotry, but what's the best way to read the ONE webcomic? I've caught up with Murata's version, so I'd like to go through and read it again and get to the current stuff. It's surprisingly difficult to sift through all the cancerous manga streaming sites to find a good one, and I can't find any downloads of it because I'm probably pretty retarded.

batoto
>>
>>135069986
I think he already broke it and is just getting stronger every day.
>>
>>135070066
Are you serious, I was almost certain someone in another thread said the webcomic wasn't on batoto, and I believed them and didn't check. God damn me.
>>
>>135070084
May it be that he broke his limit when tried to save this kid?
>>
>>135070235
Nah, look at how fast he was already. He even comments there about his strength.

An ugly kid also helped Saitama choose the heroic path. He was about to leave Buttchin for Crabrante to violate but decided againt it. An ugly kid saved Garou.

I don't know what it is with ONE and his ugly kid craze, but it's a theme.

>Even the strongest and fittest must take days off so the body can recover, you cannot exercise to that level every single day. There's a reason gyms limit people to 2-3 times a week.
>I know literally nothing about fitness: the post
I know we're on /a/, but come on.
>>
>>135070289
No no no, I'm talking about the first one. With weird chin.
>>
>>135069716
He got it through that god dude.
>>
>>135070416
Doubt that. The "light in his eyes" was just to show he regained his desire to do something.
>>
>>135069853
Aww look at the cancerous crossboarder actually trying to justify his existence by saying anyone who dislikes his obnoxious off topic meme spamming must just be jealous of him and his shitty home board. How precious
>>

Swisscheese God?
>>
>>135070490
Its already been said that he didn't.

>>135069986
HOLY SHIT ITS BLACK SHINE!
>>
>>135070343
It's to show how they're similar
>>
>>135070343
because it's always the pretty kids that get saved
even saitama said it himself that the kid was ugly and it didn't matter what happened to him
then he learned that a hero doesn't care about that
>>
>>135072266
And saving that One kid lead to the kids relative creating the Hero Association
>>
>>135070139
webcomic chapters were also nuked some time ago when batoto got DMCA'd, but they are restored now

He was doing squats after getting shown up by Metal Knight's construction bots. The count was past 69000.

Tank Top Master's limitation is his tank top obsession.

>country is ever stated.
they literally showed a map of the globe & the various regions at least once.
its clearly not earth and therefore no japan
>>
>>135057741
it's really just the running that would be hard.
even marathon runners wouldn't run that much every single day, let alone beginners.

I thought one of the space-view images was that of Australia. I forget which chapter, but there was one where they were progressively zooming out and it basically looked like Australia.
