The anime is comfy as hell and everyone is exceptionally kind (besides the headless ghost) but what makes it stand out from other iyashikei anime is really how even in such a utopian world the characters still struggle with conquering their personal fears and challenges which lends a touch of realism to the show and keeps it grounded.

Aika'a company is the oldest large organization that has the most history and reputation. Known for high overall quality (I mean, just like at Akira).
Orange Company is the new hot upstart that is getting all the recent hype. Known for recruiting VERY young talent (see Alice), and also offering services to cater for specific fetishes (delicious brown skin like. Athena). Organization seems a bit rigid, though. Like the girls have to sleep at the company's dorms and eat together in the dining halls, which does feel as natural as Aika's company.
Aria company is a small independent that isn't trying to compete with those two, but they only have 1 working girl, but she is the baddest bitch there is (Grandma, the woman before Alicia, Alicia herself). ALL of the Aria women have gotten knocked up and quit in their prime too, all the pattern will continue with Akari. Ai is being groomed right now to take over when the inevitable happens.
Traghetto girls are the equivalent of low quality street walkers who will blow just about anyone for a buck.

Enjoy Aria at your own pace. The third Avvenire OVA episode can ONLY be watched after completing the rest of the series. You can't fully appreciate it until that point. The other two are just manga chapters that hadn't been been animated. The third one was a beautifulbut still infuriatingly incompleteclose to the series.
