Why does /a/ hate Attack on Titan so much?
I might have a biased opinion since I read the manga long before anime was conceived, but on the other hand I do think the anime is not as good as the manga, while i still watched it because well, it's an enjoyable manga animated, regardless.
But there seems to much hate and disdain for it, is it because it's become a popular mainstream anime, or the actual stereotyped fan bases.
I will admit the story can be quite convoluted sometimes, and some characters in the anime really piss me off, but overall it's an okay manga/anime... Not nearly the best but I think /a/ gives it much less credit than it deserves, i'd rather watch Attack on Titan than other generic shonen or slice of life anime, that much I can say.
Eren is a bitch though I will admit, he's basically Shinji except instead of "Shinji get in the fucking Robot" It's "Erin get in the fucking Titan"

lol, i'm actually up to date with the manga, but it's easy enough to say the anime actually skips a lot of content, and detail that adds to story... Understandable when you have to compress it into 20-30 minute episodes but still they don't do justice.
I actually thought the manga gets better after Annie frozen, and the Ape Titan Appears, which hasn't even been touched upon since it apparently takes 3 years to come out with a new attack on titan anime season.

and they don't till later in the story, i won't spoil it, but the characters kinda branch off into their own, and their personalities are explored more, like Krista and Ymir....
...Even Sasha and the other minor characters eventually have much more to them than the anime first season gives off, i hope when they do release it they follow the manga direction more.

The first few episodes were okay. The animation style is unique.
At about the halfway point I lost interest, and the amount of people who are hyped up about something so mediocre is obnoxious.
On the other hand, One Punch Man remained interesting all the way through and the animation is top notch. No TV series in the past 2-3 years has come close.

What /a/ doesn't realize is that you can not like something, like an anime, and that thing still be "good". It can just not be your taste and that is fine, but it can still be a good anime.
