The pacing was off in the last two episodes, they just had to cram weeks of in-anime time into 40 minutes. I enjoyed the style though for the Ikki parts. And the stylized fight was pretty cool I thought, the fight itself was underwhelming, I guess. Probably wasn't enough time for a 'proper' fight. I didn't start watching Asterisk as I felt it was "one or the other" and Cavalry interested me more. I felt the tropes were handled better in Cavalry than in Asterisk, and IkkimarryingStella at the end made me happy.

That said, the director has some fucking talent, and announcing an engagement and kissing in public is something we never see from LN adaptations, so I'm actually very pleased with it.
