It's slow as shit and as much as I've tried, I can't see any redeeming points to it, I haven't even gotten through half a season without dropping it.

I rewatched bake, nise and s2 a couple of times, however last time i had to skip most of bake and i only watched the parts with bat and snail and even though i fell in love with crab the first time i'm starting to hate her now.

I liked the later seasons much more than the first. I guess I'm in the minority.
I especially enjoyed the sister arcs, everything Kaiki, and Kabukimonogatari.

Certainly not perfect, but Bake was enjoyable to some extent. I liked every character except forHitagi and Hachikuji. I liked the latter a lot more in the following seasons - every moment and joke she did was gold - but I still don't care much for the former. Never been big on kuu/tsun, and probably never will.
It's hard to say the rest is "perfect" in Bake. Story was sort of the "apparition" of the week, at least to introduce the cast. Characters like Hanekawa and Hitagi got plenty of time to shine, but others like Nadeko and Shinobu (the former continuously getting screwed over throughout the series) certainly didn't add anything major to it.
Of course, if this is just for Hitagi Crab, I'd say for two episodes, it did a decent job as an introduction to the series, but was no means absolutely perfect.

I can't say that it was the best episode of any anime in the past decade, but for what it was, it was alright. Hitagi's dad brought some feels along for the ride, and the secret stargazing site not only was a nice closer, but tied in to the ED of the series, which was pretty cool. Not sure why they included that as part of Hankawa's arc considering she's barely mentioned in that episode.

Don't know how the LN handled it, but I thought it basically framed the main conflict in Hanekawa's arc rather effectively while rounding out the ending by basically going back where it first started (specifically, a "discussion" between Hanekawa and Araragi with Senjougahara as part of the topic at hand).

When people complain about the show being 99% talking I experience a complete inability to identify with them in any way.
That's one of my favorite things about the show. I thought they were going to have some hella big showdown with Kaiki the first time, but then he just stepped down because as dangerous of a person as he is, he can't win a fist fight and he knows it.

More or less yeah, especially since Araragi and Senjougahara's relationship serves as the main point of conflict behind Hanekawa's stress in Bake. The fact that it's during that very date that Araragi takes his relationship with Senjougahara seriously is also why Ep12 was such a big deal for Araragi's mindset in his rebuttal against Black Hanekawa.
