When I watched Bleach for the first time as a newfag, I genuinely thought that she was going to get the powers instead of Orihime. I am still disappointed that she never got any relevance. She's the Videl of Bleach, except worse because she actually had a chance at joining the cast before the power levels took off.

yeah, when the Fullbring arc came along, I thought it was her last chance to become somewhat relevant.
When it didn't happen, I gave up on Tatsuki ever serving anything more than the most tertiary role to the plot.
Though if she did gain powers or whatever, the most we could hope for is probably her being a she-Chad - i.e a useless sidekick who does nothing outside of getting their ass kicked.

I said possibly. Yhwach was able to make humans Quincy or give others part of his soul and thus power. Ichigo is implied to be like Yhwach. That's probably the reason why, Orihime has powers in the first place. At some the special Quincy-thing will be relevant again and Ichigo will train at that. Technically Ichigo could create his own Sternritter. I'm not saying Tatsuki will be one, but that's the only way, she can become relevant again. And Yhwach will at some point invade the world of the living, since he wants to reclaim the world, he once ruled over, after the ninth day.

she had potential for some along with everyone else that gained powers via being around ichigo and all the people training with urahara, but Kubo has pretty much dropped those entire plotlines to focus exclusively on the soul society. So pretty much the last cool thing she did was smashing Ichigo's head through a window. what they did to Chad during the fullbring arc pretty much killed any chance of anyone on earth being relevant.
