I tried a yoga vid once, but it was listed as "begginer" but there was no explination of the various positions, and the instructor was just shooting out orders really quick about all the different positions. Overall I found youtube to be utter shit for trying to get into yoga.

corpse pose is where you lie on the floor on your back doing literally nothing. Its purpose is important--decompress your spine, and is absolutely necessary at the end if you did anything involving the spine like spinal twists. However, at the beginning it's just bullshit and a waste of time. 5 minutes is also unnecessary, 2 is fine.

I learned yoga by going to classes at the gym. Then I learned additional stuff online. I really recommend classes as they'll correct your form. Hugely important.

Warrior series and sun salutations are basic staples. Anything written "beginner" is for fat bitches. A basic routine would be sun and/or warrior series, and a few other poses you want to do. That should land you at 20 minutes at least.

I tried tai chi but it's no fun doing alone.
