Grimgal isn't a game, it's a fantasy world with no stats, levels or other such impossible mechanics. It works just like the real world in that you train, learn to fight and killing even the weakest enemies is really fucking hard because killing stuff in real life without a gun or something is hard. The only thing that exists are "Skills" however these are literally just specific things that you learn like how to pick a lock or swing a sword in a specific way.
It's actually the most grounded LN of this type that I've encountered. MC has no bullshit special powers and his whole party has trouble even killing the weakest enemies because what's easy in a game isn't anywhere near as easy in real life.
