What is your favorite thing about Fate/stay night? Mine is that the characters go to school like they're normal kids even though they are magicians participating in a necromantic ritual, where people chosen by the Holy Grail slaughter each other. It is surreal and fantastic.

There's a surreal feeling I get from most works in the nasuverse that I can't get from anything else, I don't know why.
Mine would be the way the heroes have their legends crystallized into a superpower.
Like Hercules, who accomplished twelve great feats and was rewarded with godhood, has that transformed into pseudo-invincibility and revival.

The wierd interpretation of mythological and historic figures. Elizabeth Bathory being an idol wannabe dragon girl is one of my favorites.
I like how they personify everything.
The heroes of human myth and history are brought to life (epic already) and then they are humanized, their lives, all the joy and despair and every desire, is turned into a power or made material by something they say or do, and it just really draws you into a whole new world, yet that world is based on this one and helps you understand and appreciate everything around you.
Through Fate/Zero I can feel for someone as despicable as Bluebeard. His insane actions begin to make sense to me.
I don't know. It's a lot of things. The feels, the action, the muzak, the grills. Everything sort of comes together and makes a truly unique experience.
