Making weapons tech smaller has always been a bit of a an issue. Things like cost and the requirements for specialised equipment to make the weapons are probably holding things back. The long war has also likely reduced resources for producing firearms on a mass scale. That we've mostly only seen close combat engagements also makes it hard to know if there are smaller firearms about.

I'd say Berserk technology is slightly after the Hundred Years' War in the 15th century. They have siege cannons and stuff but no mass produced firearms for infantry.
