It's pretty good for what it is, a fun parody of the reincarnation/transportation genre of light novels.
Which makes this doubly stupid since what's the point of animating a parody when there isn't much of the genre in animated form yet. And the design sucks a lot in comparision to the LN artwork.

The LN art makes him look average, but he has more of a sharp look to him. Kind of nails the scumbag part of his personality when it needs to. The anime artwork makes him look like innocent oblivious MC number 269.
And yeah, the boob plate annoys me too, one of the things I liked about Gifting was the more down to earth way it handled armor. I know Darkness is kind of the fan-service source for the most part, but using boob plate to do it kind of grates my nerves.

Their first meeting didn't start off well, as Alice and her servants had to maintain her royal dignity. They insulted Kazuma and questioned whether he really did anything at all. But when Darkness stepped in and swear for his behalf, Alice apologizes.
So the 2 parties started to get along, with Kazuma telling the Princess their adventures.
When the meeting ends, Alice and her servants were surprised to teleport back to the palace. But Alice tells Kazuma she has something to says to him, and asked Kazuma to come to her side. When he does so, she activates the teleport spell and kidnapped him to the palace.
There, Kazuma and Alice live happily like a doting siblings, and plays games and tell stories together everyday.

Girls are great, very well defined personalities, and nice interactions with MC.
MC isn't a faggot, very entertaining and quick witted. Very underhanded type of guy since he's almost always the underdog in a fight.
For example he was challenged to a duel by a guy who would make a perfect faggot MC in another series. First thing he does is suckerpunch the guy, uses a skill to take away his OP sword, and takes his magic sword to sell it off for money.
Also claims he's all for "gender equality" so if one of the girls decide to go tsundere on him, he isn't afraid to fight back physically (and he has in fact done so).

I mean sure it's nowhere as good as the LN;s but it's a comedy series so I think it fits well enough and honestly I feel like making it good will detract focus from the comedy. It's kinda like how in OPM some people prefer ONE's art to Murata's because Murata's serious art removes the surreal feeling present in the original webcomic.

That's not really the case, like at all. The murata art example makes sense, this one is just a shitty design compared to good artwork in the original. The fact that it is a comedy shouldn't really factor in the equation at all.
AntiMagic has good art and the anime matches the style. DEEN's character designs are a butchery of the original. Even if the animation itself is bad, the design styles should at least match up.

Well LN is diverging from the WN in terms of plot progression, so they are pretty much separate entities at this point.
But from one spoiler I heard,no one, but Kazuma chooses to stay in the Gifting world with Aqua once again as his "cheat" (this time willingly) to go on another adventure against a different Demon King. With Darkness waiting for him to propose to her, and Megumin going off on her own adventure.
Note that this has a high probability of being false since I haven't read it myself and there were a bunch of threads spreading fake spoilers about the WN. So take it with a massive grain of salt.
