The light novels everything is based on: a crapload of metaphysics near the end, but there's a multi-year stretch where he's happily married to and fucking blue, purple, and brown (she's only in the books, not the anime or manga). It even shows the first night with each.

Green and Red spend some time safely in stasis, in orbit, while all the crazy metaphysics stuff is going on. Technically the entire harem is reunited later, but it's part of "and then they, and all humanity, moved on to a newer and better universe" weird end.
Yellow isn't a part of the harem in the books, but is awesome. Headmaster is pretty badass in the books too. And of course Akuto himself.
