Early Golden Age Griffith or Late Golden Age Griffith?
Griffith didn't only lose to Guts on the hill because Guts had gotten stronger, Griffith was also weaker from not fighting in most battles for the past few years, instead being caught up in politics and leading an army, wheras when he met Guts he was still the humble leader of a mercenary band, nothing more, and actually had to fight on the frontlines by himself.Plus the biggest factor was his indecisiveness during the fight resulting from his feelings toward Guts, but that doesn't matter much at the moment.
Early, battlehardened Griffith could beat Serpico, but Serpico would win against softened, nobleman-wannabe late Griffith.
