So for any of the images hosted on /a/, Google is giving me this message.
What the fuck gives? I know I'm not the only one--the people on the OPT are getting fucked over too.
>>134781412
It's just you. Works for me.
>>134781503
even for, say: http://i.4cdn.org/a/1450130855376.png ?
yeah doesnt work for me either op
iqdb still is fine though
>>134781412
It's not working for me either.
>>134781536
excuse my language
I have the same problem OP
>>134781536
Not working for me. I've never had a problem until now.
>>134781412
It's fine, just open the image in a new tab and then reverse image search.

So I tried this fuck's advice, and they're right. Right clicking an image in chrome and selecting "search Google for this image" works, even though it doesn't work by typing in the url.
>>134781745
>chrome
What If I dont have botnet installed?
>>134781412
http://i.4cdn.org/robots.txt
>User-agent: *
>Disallow: /
That's why.
Right-clicking the image uploads it directly. I suppose.
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
>>134781872
Who?
>>134781869
That also means that Google will no longer find matches for those Images in 4chan-Threads.
Maybe this is a preferable outcome. Seeing as this prevents companies finding their Images via Google and issuing DMCA's against them.
>>134781649
That doesn't work.
>>134781869
Mind translating that into English for those who don't speak code?
>>134781412
Doesn't work for me either.
HIROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>134781412
Same here.
>>134783047
>I'm incapable of basic Google usage
It means 4chan told Google (and every other search engine) to fuck off. The Google robots won't look at the site anymore, so threads/images/whatever from here won't come up in results anymore.
>>134783742
Ok but how about telling us?
>>134783047
>http://i.4cdn.org/robots.txt
This is the robots.txt for 4chan's image server. Automated web crawlers (like search engines) are supposed to read and obey it.
>User-agent: *
This means the rule applies to any and all robots.
>Disallow: /
This means the root directory (and therefore the entire contents) of the server are forbidden (to the robots).
>>134783742
Actually I fucked up, threads come from a different place than images and'll still get searched. Search engines will ignore the images though.
>>134783801
Thanks.
>>134783769
He just did in the post you're replying to, you idiot.
>>134783742
>>134783801
>>134781869
It requests, that robots (search-engines) don't access any URL on http://i.4cdn.org/ .
Theoretically Google could still allow users to search for images via URL. Since a user (not a robot), requested it.
Maybe they changed it, so that users no longer complain that Google cannot access pictures which need a user login to access.
What has that idiot been up to again?
>>134785100
He died in the Paris attacks.
RIP ;_;
>>134785100
Sold your data for money
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
>>134785134
You mean he led the Paris attack and was killed by the police.
Whats hiro's favourite board?
Does he browse 4chan at all and instead shitposts on 2channel all day?
Why'd mootwo do this? did /b/ or /r9k/ or /pol/ do something stupid again?
So save the image and search it that way.
>>134787341
I am not a cavemen.
>>134787341
What if the image is shit and you dont really want to save it
Saving and deleting would be mendokuse
uh it works if you right click, no problems here
>>134781412
Yeah same, this means more source begging. And more people being getting mad at source begging. Is an endless circle.
>>134787341
Wasting time on cave men tricks, might as well ask for sauce. 4chan is basically telling us to do that.
>>134787368
>>134787526
Next you're gonna tell me you stream all your anime because it's too much of a bother.
>>134781869
moot come here and fix this
So this bit is useless from now on.
>>134787595
fuck you i want moot
>>134787562
Nah bub, I would if the online video players wasn´t so bad though.
>>134787628
ccd0 will come and save the day
But why?
I hate Chrome.
>>134787628
For now I guess you could use find same on Desustorage then use the Google search there.
>>134787900
>Wasting time
Might as well have someone tell you.
>>134787900
Says something about the image being too big, or the network connection being too slow. Never happened before.
