Damn, it's no wonder people rarely talk about the LN. All the action scenes were much worse, the characters were much more angsty (Kariya and Ryunosuke especially), and Urobutcher always had to relate every metaphor to some kind of dark and bloody imagery, not to mention the complete lack of thematic subtlety throughout the story. And what was up with Maiya's backstory and Gil literally eye raping Saber? Can this man just not go a single work without flaunting his rape fetish? I'm amazed people can call this man a good writer. It's no wonder he was considered a hack until he wrote Madoka.
