AnH's anime was a top 10 for me. I've watched every show every season since like early 2004.
The animation was really weird and off-putting, which I feel like complimented the series. That isn't it's strength though. I just think the pacing/direction/ost(holy fuck) made it for me.
Beyond excited that s2 is in production right now, since s1's source material is kind of bland.
The images on the left are relatively generic looking, it would be hard to even fucking identify saeki.

They took a while to get the animation right. By the end it looked pretty good while still being distinctive and rotoscopy.
Still a great anime, great manga too.
